I'd think the best time to fly would be the day after a crash. Airlines would be checking everything quite carefully, I'd bet.

-They're talking about the Air Florida crash back in 1982, where the plane crashed into the Potomac River right and struck the 14th Street Bridge.  I still remember that day: there was a blizzard, and my brothers and I and my cousins almost started walking home from elementary school since we weren't sure when or if my Mom was still going to pick us up.  Thankfully, she did arrive, and we drove home very slowly.  We had heard about the plane crash at school.

Yes. Means that they would be firing the "bird cannons" more frequently.

WOW!  "Jeff" and his friends were supposed to take Spirit Airlines down to Charlotte, but got bumped off their flight and onto US Air 1549...

No doubt you're recommending Jobim's Samba Do Aviao (Airplane Samba).  ;)

The gemologist did think it was probably 40s or 50s, not 30s, so I'm thinking maybe it was a gift from Al.  It's not the prettiest set I've ever seen.  :)

I noticed huge flocks of geese around here often. I frequently wondered why there aren't more air accidents with them (sorry DR JMK, but it IS rather fascinating).

Well, I guess I can get started on my MY THREE SONS review and then head back down for some more episodes before the evening of prime time TV begins.

Here is Miss Marlee Matlin and the cast of Love Person....

Marlee is in the center next to deaf cast member Tami Lee Santimeyer (in the blue sweater) - who has worked with Marlee on other projects.

Other Dancing With the Stars people are in there, but I don't know them, since I haven't seen the show for awhile.....but I think someone named Alex is in there.

My friend Bryan, the director is seated in front dressed in non slimming black.

My guess is that the people behind Bryan are from the Phoenix show, and the people on the left are with Marlee....the girl in the red sweater just seems to be really glad to be in the picture.....

DerBrucer, have the birds returned to your feeders?

Yeah - they push their way through.

Still resident: Cardinals, Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Titmice, Nuthatches, Creepers, Doves, Sparrows - missing-in-action - the Blue Jays.

Sounds like my inventory after my morning ritual of pouring birdseed on the deck railing, with the addition of rufous-sided towhees (normally ground feeders) flickers, goldfinches, housefinches & wrens. The robins, mockingbirds and thrashers (our state bird) don't eat the birdseed. And the blue jays are the bullies who like to hog all the food. We have red bellied and downy woodpeckers, including a youngster we call "Downey Jr.".
