Just read about the Cole Porter review with Victoria Clark and David Hyde Pierce at Lincoln Center.  It sounds de-lovely.  I hope it's being recorded--or better yet, broadcast on PBS.

Victoria Clark at Lincoln Center, and elmore hasn't yet attended???

He is lurking in the wings waiting for the right time to cut down the chandelier.

TOmorrow I'll be working on a Comedy CEntral stand-up special which shouldn't take all afternoon and evening. I've never heard of the comedian, so it should be interesting and at least something new.

Then, on Sunday, I'll begin the final season of CHEERS in its upcoming boxset release.

But the BEST news is next. After not getting much in the way of review material this week (actually nothing until CHEERS arrived yesterday), today I got such GREAT stuff (I'm being VERY facetious here).

Special editions of the first three FRIDAY THE 13th films! Am I not the luckiest man alive? :o

I also got a two-part horror film that premiered on the BET channel

AND

the NOAH'S ARC movie that came out last fall (released through arrangement with Logo).

So, good and bad in the mail today. But a LOT of horror! Just in time for Valentine's Day!

Good!

Milk's ooey-gooey double-chocolate cookies

Three types of chocolate are folded into this rich cookie dough, which is baked just long enough for each cookie to set up on the outside while remaining oh so "ooey-gooey" inside. Messy? Yes, but perfectly so.

RECIPE HERE!

I am just not in the mood to do a movie.  I'm catching up on CDs and am now going to take a nice hot shower.  Please send me one of those cookies.

I remember the glory days when Jose sent me freshly baked cookies via mail.  Boy were they tasty.

Sounds like everyone had a good Friday.  I am dealing with a personal issue - sometimes you just can't be nice - and sometimes you finally have to say things.

Perhaps this person is finally now OUT of my life....time will tell.

I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair.....  Vibes for JRAND ~~~~~~~~~~~~

JRand, I didn't have a bad day, but a lot of it was very frustrating.  I am very glad the week is over.  I want to work at home and at the office.  I need to go through my closet to see what fits me and what doesn't.   I'm about ready to donate a lot of stuff to charity and keep only the things I could get altered to fit me.  It's a scary step because it means if I gain weight I have nothing to wear.   But, none of it fits me now, so I think I'm going to take the plunge

I just uploaded some more of the pictures I took in DC this past Wednesday to my flickr account, so...

Inauguration Preparations, 1/14/09

Monkey in DC

:)

Great Pics, DR Jose.

(I've been meaning to mention this, but you should spring for a lint remover for Monkey.  Grooming is important, especially in close-up photography.)

I try my best to keep monkey groomed and lint-free, but sometimes monkey is just so excited to have his picture taken again (and again and again) that he gets away from me.  Monkey also doesn't like to self-groom in public, if you get my drift.

It was reported in the Sun Sentinel today that in Okeechobee County the libraries have pulled The Curious George series of children's book under pressure from a right wing Christian group. It seems that they were concerned that every time Curious George would misbehave his owner the Man In The Yellow Hat would spank his monkey.

I see that the Zipper Factory theater closed down unexpectedly. Wasn't this the place where The Last Starfighter had its first run?

I believe the first production of The Last Starfighter was presented by The Storm Theatre (company) in a church - who's name escapes me right now - on 46th Street.
