All has gone well so far here at the hospital. It turns out that my mom's cardiotherapy is basically a nurse-supervised exercise session - mainly on one of those bikes.  Very low key and low maintenance.

The hospital is presenting a presentation on "How To Manage Your Meds" this morning, so my parents will be staying for that. And then it will be lunch time.

*Now I just need to see if I can convince them not to go to Golden Corral for lunch. I don't kind Golden Corral, but since both my parents are still supposed to be following somewhat resticted diets, well... We shall see.

There's LOTS of stuff at Golden Corral, Jose. They have lots of veggie dishes and roast chicken. The fish is icky, though.

It's not the healthier stuff on the buffet tables I'm "worried" about.

I'm heading down now to fix up a package for mailing, and then I must clean up so I can run my usual Friday errands.

Just read about the Cole Porter review with Victoria Clark and David Hyde Pierce at Lincoln Center.  It sounds de-lovely.  I hope it's being recorded--or better yet, broadcast on PBS.

It's very chilly in my apartment and I'm all decked out in my thermal undies.

Vixdad went out this morning and got me the liquid painkiller - he had to go to three different pharmacies before he found one that had it and then the insurance wouldn't approve it so he had to pay $75 - it also made him very late for work do he won't be home until after 9.

I read the instructions and it keeps warning about nausea so now I am nervous about taking it but after all he went through to get it for me I really have to give it a try.

It also warns about making one very sleepy -- so if I am not around you 'll know its because of the meds

Can't she get a liver transplant?

The hope was that a liver transplant would be an option, but they learned yesterday that it is not possible. The prognosis is 3 to 6 months.
