The gal who usually brings sandwiches to these screenings did not do so this evening.  Which means I'd only eaten two-thirds of a sandwich.  So, I ate crap - some popcorn and a few laffy taffys.  The minute the film was over I hurried out and over to Gelson's, where I got a small thing of righteous red potato salad, a small thing of Chinese Chicken Salad, and an even smaller thing of lobster salad, all of which I just ate.

Perhaps I'll read a little of what I wrote today, or maybe I'll just write another page if inspiration should happen to present itself.

Saturday morning greetings!  Richard and I are celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary today - quietly, with dinner at The Meadows tonight.

A Very Happy Anniversary to Ginny and Richard!! ;D

Topic of the Day... Addendum...

OH!  -And the still-missed "Show Music" too.

OMG!  I totally forgot that I subscribed to "Show Music" AND "Playbill"!  I have several years' of each AND I just NOW remembered that I'm a charter subscriber to "The Sondheim Review"...and just got the latest issue within the last couple of weeks!

Man, I have a horrible memory...and I'm only 42! :-\

I loved Peter Tork!

Me, too!  I thought that he was the cutest of them all. :D

I'm feeling very logy today.  Chills.  Chills.  Chills.  Plus a teeny tiny bit of a tummy bug.  Tiny headache, too.
I'm just going to stay in tonight, instead of working, crawl into a hot shower or tub, then relax on my couch or in my bed.

Funniest audition--guy with a lovely voice comes in and does a gorgeous version of "I Hear Bells" (or whatever that Maltby/Shire tune is).  Director, thinking of him for Roger, asks him to do it again, camped up.  The guy hit it out of the ballpark, with one of the most hilarious "physical" readings of the song imaginable.  I'll probably never be able to play the song again for anyone without laughing.

I wonder what he did. ;)

I love this song!  I actually transcribed the women's parts from the recording for a couple of friends of mine to sing when we were in a vocal workshop together.  No one knew the song but everyone loved it. :)

bk - Very interesting sandwich components.  Now, if he had put all of that stuff into a Jell-O mold, well..

*And just remember, "Benjamin Button" is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

I actually saw this this afternoon!  And I didn't know how long it was. :P

And while watching it, I never felt like it was too long.  I never once asked myself, "What time is it?"
