COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were short and sweet, and now it is time for you to post until the long and sour cows come home.

On Facebook, you have the opportunity to become a fan of Aretha Franklin's Inauguration Hat:

Quote
A glimmering vision of hope outshining the sun on a certain cold wintry day in January, tears of joy and the swell of optimism bursting from two million citizens' hearts as they focus their expectant gaze in one direction... you know what we are talking about and that is why you are here. To celebrate this vision of change, this paradigm shift, this sparkling, glittering vision, yes... Aretha Franklin's inauguration hat.

Greetings folks.

Jose, thanks for the news about Mill Mountain.

I sent the news to Anthony. He will be sad also.

Yes, he did Beauty and the Beast there as well as ...Forum with Nick Dalton.

The trip to Wisconsin is still on with estimated time of departure set for sometime around February 5 or 6

We watched the Inauguration during lunch, eating all American peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

It was 17 when I left the house at 6am but I have a long sleeve shirt, a flannel shirt and jeans so I'm warm.

While on Long Island this past weekend we went to the Smithhaven Mall so Anthony could return something at the Lands End Department in Sears. They were having a post-holiday sale on waterproof shoes/sneakers. They were originally $49.50 during the Christmas season. The box was marked down to $24.95 so I decided to get a pair and when I took them to the sales clerk I found they were marked down even further to $17! What a deal.

DAW, is that picture from FAO Schwartz? It looks like the Make Your Own Muppet section which we saw when we went to FAO in December

I found a used copy of the new cast recording of The Fantasticks so we can now hear the alternate abduction song. It's the same tune, just different lyrics.

Well, I'm trying very hard but I don't think we will get to Page 2 unless someone else shows up to continue the conversation

Did you see The Daily Show last night?  They did a hilarious riff on the hat, ending with Maya Angelou dressed up like a big Christmas present.

Of course, if I were completely anal, I would have said an hilarious riff.

DR Ben, it very well may be.  I often grab indiscriminately from the Internet, and don't always pay attention to what exactly it is that I'm grabbing!    :P

I've been told that youtube doesn't count a video as viewed unless the viewer makes it pretty much all the way through.  Does anyone have any info as to how far they have to get in a video to tally another viewing?

I do not, DR FJL, but be very careful.  We wouldn't want people to start referring to you as the TALLY HO...   ;)

Good morning, all! Another work day at my desk: Most Happy Fella, Brent Barrett, and those blasted Babes.

I have nothing else to report. Maybe later.
