WASHINGTON POST

Quote
HBO to Air 'Updated Version' of Sunday's Concert Tomorrow

HBO says it will telecast “an updated version” of Sunday’s inaugural-related concert tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time,

By “updated,” the premium cable network means it will include the invocation that had been delivered by the Rev. V. Gene Robinson, the openly gay New Hampshire Episcopal bishop, at the ceremony’s start.

HBO’s Sunday telecast had not included the invocation and the premium telecast had exclusive TV rights to the event, which meant no one watching the concert on TV saw the invocation. They did catch celebrities like Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, and Garth Brooks. Obama addressed the crowd near the end of the bash.

HBO had opened up its Sunday concert telecast to non-paying members; tomorrow’s re-telecast is available to subscribers only.

Today is Thursday. :-\

Did anyone record this updated version??

Well, I need to leave.  I'm still at work and have missed watching "Ugly Betty" live.  I'll be home in time to watch "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" as they're being broadcast.

Be back later!

The above pic was taken while I was walking around the campus of VCU.  The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is basically a part of the campus, and as I was walking by it, "those" caught my eye(!).  I took a series of photos when I first saw "them", and another series a couple of minutes later.  I'm still not really sure what exactly caused such "figures", but I was very "relieved" when I went to show Steve my pictures and the "figures" were still there. ;)

Heading down to bed a little earlier than usual. I'd like to cut the light out before midnight for a change.

Good night!

GREY'S ANATOMY had some really heart-wrenching stuff tonight. Very moving episode.

Man did it ever!  I was crying at the end and I don't usually cry while watching TV

And, yes, both "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" ended up having very emotional episodes tonight.

*And I suspect an Emmy nomination for Joel Grey for his performance on tonight's "Private Practice".

Jose, did you know that Totally Baked has totally closed? Too bad. It was a fun place but I'm not surprised. It sounds like a good idea, a baked potato restaurant, but I'm sure it's not easy to pull off.

Ah, well.  However, I do know that S'Mac (mac'n'cheese) is still open, as well as "Say Cheese" (grilled cheese), and the Peanut Butter & Co. (PB&J's).  ;)

Are any of you New York folk familiar with an actor named Walter Hudson?

If he is the same Walter Hudson who was in The Human Comedy and Welcome to the Club - Thank You, IBDB.com! - I know of him, and I'm pretty sure I've played and audition or two or three for him over the years.  But that's about all I know about/of him.

DR Sam and I are chatting on Facebook.  She's sleeping in her dad's hospital room tonight. She said if she was going to be awake worrying, she may as well be there with him

Since I'm buried under a bunch of orchestra scores these days, I wonder if anyone has heard anything about a commercial release of the John Williams piece based on "Simple Gifts" with the instrumentalists who premiered it?

There is talk of an eventual release on iTunes.

There is little news here:

I was involved with NSA communications intercepts in the late 60s and todays efforts are a natural extention of those activities.

One should always assume all electronic communications (phone, FAX, EMail, etc) are public.
