I wasn't sure whether to brave posting this link to a video just finalized last night, but the coincidence of the notes being about Flatbush and Brooklyn made me say what-the-heck.

It's a video (including photo montage) of my song "Brooklyn Boy" whence came the moniker BklynBoy, a simple piano demo that I sang here in the apartment - and the last part winds up in Flatbush.  It's sung by a highly opinionated character in the show it was written for, so opinions about other places in New York reflect the character's biases, not mine.  :)

It's not a parody, though, but I hope it brings a smile - we've put a couple of other non-parody songs of mine up over the past few days.

(Thanks as always to Jose's roommate Jim for making the video/photo components come together.)

VERY nice song FJL thanks so much for the link!

TOD: I met my DH when I was 19. I don't remember any boyfriends before that.

DR Laura, I would think the sidewalks outside your house were littered with boys pining for affection from kindergarten!

Well, thank you. But believe me, the sidewalks were clear. Very clear.

I like those skyways. I wonder if it would work here in the desert where it is so hot in the summer? I don't know if people walk around downtown that much. Most people don't work downtown.

It is soggy outside.

That is NOT a complaint, by the way. Merely an observation.

And the word of the day is: PLUVIAL!
Emma's last boyfriend was fascinated by all things PLUVIAL.  She dumped him because he was such a drip.

DR Laura - In Houston, there's a whole underground network of tunnels between a number of the buildings downtown. A much cooler walk in the summer.

TOD:

First BF was Dan A. I was 21 he was 25, he was in the National Guard and also worked as a bus driver. Dan was none too bright and spent most of his time cheating on me, but other then that he was a nice guy. We were off and on for about 2 years.

He still lives in Salem and I have run in to him a number of times over the years...but I have yet to see him sober.  ::)

Thanks to everyone who watched the video!

In fact, if you just keep running it while you're working, away from your desk, going to the bathroom, etc, it'll help get those times-watched numbers up.  I think it actually works that way!  :)  :)  Just kidding - really!!!

New on tv tonight for me:

American Idol Hollywood auditions (hopefully they will show more of the contestants we have not seen).

Privileged, 90210.

Project Runway canada.

I saw tonight's new Mentalist on Sunday. Not bad.

Also i don't know if anyone here watches this, but they are moving last night's True Beauty to tonight at 10pm (abc).
