I did not care for last night's IDOL at all.

Danny Gokey didn't even need to sing to go through to the top 12. I guarantee he will make it and most like be top 3.

I cannot stand Tatiana. And have no idea what happened to her last night. It was like she was sedated or something. Really weird.

John's sister says the coroner's report says heart attack, and given his junk food habitds, I'm not surprised. I just had a long talk with her and now I'm off to Toyland.

WHAT IS IT, FISH?

I am hopeful that this will meet with DR Ron Pulliam's approval, as it is neither sugary nor fatty.  :)

And good morning to all.

It is another gorgeous day here in Whereversville. I have to admit the weather here couldn't be better.

In Canada it's shown on the Food Network. And somehow they are stretching it to 1 1/2 hours.

It certainly meets with my approval. At first I thought it was salmon, of which I am a big fan. Is it salmon?

Today I will try to go through a box of stuff. Yes, even here. I threw out old files like crazy the weekend before the move. "NO! I'm not moving THAT stuff." So, that part of me that loves to be organized will try to get rid of even more.

DR singdaw - That "fish" looks like it could be some sort of fancy gravlax which would mean it was cured with sugar.  So... And, technically speaking, salmon is considered a "fatty fish", so...  Just sayin'... ;)

That's OK, Sing. This is HHW and we understand. The colors of his skirt just don't flatter his skin tones.

As for "AI" and Tatiana - No one I know likes her at all - especially after how she was "featured" during the prelims, so I'm hoping that the rest of the "American Public" doesn't like her either.  However, there's always one of those Judge-chosen wildcard slots.  -And since she's from Puerto Rico, she may have an edge due to the fact that Puerto Ricans do a lot of texting - a lot!  Well, at least my sister-in-law does.  ;)

And as far as Tatiana looking "sedated" - I think she was trying too hard to be adult and non-bubbly. -She probably watched her footage from the past few weeks.  ;)

*DR elmore - Have you set your VCR/DVR?  -God knows mine is getting a workout tonight.

Good morning!

It rained for much of the morning, but it's clearing up now and may be a pretty day after all. However, it's cold. Not getting out of the 40s here today.

OK - Well, time for me to head into town for a bit.  I'll be brunching/lunching with (FDR) Jason.  After that, I think I will be heading to MoMA for a screening of "The Searchers" - they just acquired a new print of it, and since the movie was discussed here on HHW in the recent past, well.. We'll see..  I may have a brief rehearsal session this afternoon, so, it's all sort of TBD.  -As opposed to DR TD.  In any case... Gotta run...

I can't believe it but with no new review items arriving, I am faced with a completely free day. I have such a stack of DVDs and Blu-rays to pick from. Top contenders are THE YELLOW ROLLS-ROYCE, FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, GHOST (Blu-ray), 21 (Blu-ray), EAST SIDE STORY, and SHELTER. Decisions, decisions....

I think that Jerome Robbins show should be really good. Unfortunately, I must hope the PBS-HD channels on my system replay it in the wee small hours of the morning since the DVR will be overly busy during the two hours it runs in prime time.

As for the afternoon viewing, I also still have on the DVR the last half hour of last night's IDOL which contains Tatiana and the best male singer (who's last, I believe). I have Monday's HEROES, and I'll be watching last night's LEVERAGE while I eat lunch.
