During commercial breaks for LOST and LIFE ON MARS (I was watching both of them "live"), I flipped over to watch the Jerome Robbins special in HD. I'll look forward to seeing the whole thing at some point over the next few days.

I knew I would miss the Robbins so I ordered the DVD. I loved LIFE ON MARS.

I must order this also.  Loved the show.

Speaking of Johnny Mandel, we're interviewing him, as well as Blake Edwards and Julie Andrews next week.

Since this is for the Johnny Mercer doc, my ask bk question would be: What would you ask Johnny Mandel about Mercer?

And speaking of Johnny Mercer... Tonight's Michael Feinstein program at Carnegie's Zankel Hall was a Johnny Mercer tribute.  -There have been a number of Johnny Mercer tributes and Mercer-centric cabaret evenings lately in NYC.

We had a very bad day at work. The producer friend who I started the Mercer project with was coming over to see us at the edit room because her husband was there working on the budget with my assistant.

She came in and couldn't talk and then just started crying. She had received a text message as she was pulling into the parking lost that a friend of hers had been murdered. This was a long-time friend of hers, they'd been in a book club together for over 10 years. The victim was a nationally known cancer specialist and lived in a very secure penthouse in the best part of town. My friend was reading over my shoulder after I pulled up the news story and almost collapsed when they went into the cause of death details.

No one can understand how this could happen in a place with such high security; it makes you realize that nowhere is safe. This lady was selling her penthouse to move in with her fianceé (her husband died of cancer a few years ago) so this might have been someone posing as a buyer.

Anyway, it's been a horrible day and I'm sharing this story so you can send vibes to our friend---she really needs them.

I am home, and I am finally up at 11:00 a.m., Left Coast Time.

I have my annual bout of walking pneumonia, but this morning I was too shot to even try walking into the shower or getting dressed.

We did a shoot last week with Audra McDonald and John Williams playing piano while she sang "I Had Myself A True Love". Oh man, she was unbelievable! Jamie Cullum and Maude Maggart also performed. I've always liked Jamie and he was completely adorable. Wish I could have been there!

After working on the budget today I realized that I could have flown there and back first class and carried the tapes with me for cheaper than having them cloned and fed exed. Wish I would have known that earlier!

Thanks for the vibes, y'all.

There is a lot of evidence on the security cameras so I hope an arrest will be made soon.

Just for Vixmom, because she is amused by the quotes. I had this up several days, hoping you'd see it.

(Looking out the car window at the light rail)
Mae-Ling Goldstein:  "Daddy said people were riding the light rail without any pants on. That's bad, because girls shouldn't show their vagina and boys shouldn't show their penis."

LOL!!! Thanks for sharing that made me laugh!!

Here are the Program Notes from tonight's program.  If the program was "announced from the stage", then Carnegie Hall should update their site over the next 48 hours with the details.

Oh DR TCB.  How do you get that every year when you have a pneumonia shot?

The shot only protects against bacterial pneumonia; it does not immunize against either viral or walking pneumonias.

Hello all.  Our computer crashed Friday night and it took Vixdad until late last night to get it up and running again.  He says it's stillnot 100% and he may have to tear it down and do it over so if I disappear again that's probably why.

Good to know!   You could call someone when it happens again, ya know!  We worry!

Except I cannot talk, so I can't use the phone.  I suppose I should have had the Vixter call someone - sorry!!

I told Keith when you don't post I normally figure you are busy or having computer problems.  I said I would call if you could speak.

Are you sleeping better & gagging less?

I am actually.  I think there may actually be a bit of recovery going on  FINALLY!  I find a can drink a bit easier these days.  It hurt to swallow even water before now I can drink with very little discomfort.

Perhaps I shall be turing a corner soon I truly hope so

We lost our electricity for several hours this afternoon and I ended up dozing, since I also slept  so much this morning .  I had awoken after going to sleep at 9 .

I will probably try and go back to sleep in a little bit so as not toget my nights and days confused again.
