ACTUAL "LOST" SPOILAGE HERE

As for last night's "Lost"...

-And I don't think a SPOILER WARNING is needed...  And I already referenced this last night, so...

I really liked the reference to "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe".  -And I'm wondering how much that reference will end up playing out in the rest of the series.

Hmmm...I did see you mention C.S. Lewis last night.  I'm trying to think what that reference could be.  The guy at EW also mentioned there was a connection but I'm not making one right now.

I need to ponder on this one...

IIRC, it had to do with Ms. Hawking's reference to a window being open...and that various windows open at various times, depending upon where the island actually is.

ON THIS DAY IN THEATRE HISTORY...

One of my most favorite musicals that I've had the pleasure of seeing, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, opened in 1978 at the St. James Theatre.

One more word about LOST...

The commercial with the girl on the bike with the overgrown pitt hair--I could have done without that...

And I know that it's unfair to judge an upcoming show by commercials, but man--the two stars of that CASTLE show have all the charisma and chemistry of a couple of pieces of wet cardboard.

Dan (the) Man was being Mr. Cranky Pants.

While I "was" responding to your post, I was probably remarking upon some of his comments.

Nathan Fillion is a wonderful actor, personality, talent and he has tons of charisma.

This show looks very interesting to me and is one of the few new shows I'm really looking forward to.

It has aired frequently all through the week.  Not unique to "Lost".

Any thoughts on NBC's upcoming "Kings"?  -I'm sort of pre-disposed not to like it because of all the commercial trailers they've been running in movie theaters over the past couple of months. Every time one started, I would think it was some sort of soft-drink promo, and then when it would finish, I still wasn't sure exactly what was being advertised.  -And neither did anyone else in the theatre. What was that?

I have to admit that the commercials for this show did nothing to entice me to watch it..... but, as I also like Nathan Fillion a lot, and now that I know the premise of the show, I will most certainly tune it and I hope to enjoy it.

Good Afternoon!

Well... I did step out of my apartment for a bit a little bit earlier. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, or where exactly I was going.  -Just one of those days.  Well, I happened to notice that a film crew was at St. Nick's Pub, so I started walking up there.

As I pass the subway entrance, I hear an anguished cry of "Oh, Sh*t!"... I turn around... A homeless  woman starts pulling down her pants... Sits on the bumper of someone's car... And well...

I took that as a sign that I should probably stay inside today and take care of some stuff around the apartment.  -And it started drizzling too.  So... :-\

In case anyone was/is wondering where I've been (not that it seems anyone was/is) - I awoke at eight-thirty to find Time Warner Cable completely down.  There was a recording on their phone line saying there was an outage in my area and environs.  They had no ETA.  So, I did some stuff, then did the long jog, and at about 11:55 I'd had it and could see the modem was still not working.  I powered down the computer, grabbed it, my hat, and my keys to go over to Panera.  As I was about to leave the modem suddenly came to life, as did Airport Extreme.  I put everything down, powered up the computer and Time Warner is back.  Unbelievable.

Haven't heard from the book dealer about dinner.  And I'm going to have to eat something prior to that - I may go over to the Studio Cafe and have some eggs - and do a little proofing, too.

Vixmom, it is your job to direct the other members in your household in doing the jobs you decide need doing.

I say you should take advantage of this situation; it will never happen again.

These are things I want to take care of myself the Vixter is already doing all the laundry, cooking, cleaning... but cleaning out closets, sorting through the stuff in the basement that's stuff I want to do without any creative input from others about what should stay and what should go!!

Thank you for all the vibes on behalf of my friend.

After only 36 hours, it seems that they caught the killer:

That's very good news, Edi.

Panera Bakery?  They just started here about a year or so ago.  I love their hot chocolate , potato soup, wild rice chicken soup, breakfast souffles, strawberry poppyseed salad and danish rings

I'm not too fond of most of the sandwich offerings  or bagels though.

But my parents love their sandwiches.
