THE TIME PEOPLE
« on: March 07, 2009, 12:10:09 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had time and also parsley, sage and rosemary, and now it is time (and parsley, sage and rosemary) to post until the cows come home - they're currently befuddled as to why the Time People keep moving Daylight Saving Time earlier and earlier.  The Befuddled Cows - that's the title of my next novel.

I would totally listen to Eddie Cibrian singing "Ciribiribin."   I'm just sayin'.

DR JMK - that guy is emailing me, too, about the Kritzerland site.  I just sent him a screen cap of the site, with the albums showing, available to order.  Sheeesh.

I'd watch Eddie Cibrian do anything. ;)

But that's just me.

good morning everyone, I know is 1:30AM, but I just woke up.  Was so tired from work I had to take a really long nap.  It took only 30 minutes to read yesterday and today's notes plus all the postings, I'm happy I caught up.

Dear Vixmom, my dad just went through the swallowing test after his open heart surgery, except he did nothing the doctors told him to.  He was too stubborn.  They kept him in the hospital till he could pass, almost 4 weeks later (but he's 82 and really really really stubborn).  I'm glad everything worked out for you.

Yes I heard it was Barbie's Birthday.  When my kid was maybe 5 or 6, her grandmother wanted to throw a birthday party and invite all the relatives on that side of the family.  Our (my husband and myself) only request was that there would be no Barbies.  So of course she ended up with maybe 20 or 25, all of which either became beheaded, drawn on to look like I don't know what, or no hair, teeth marks, missing limbs, etc etc etc.  And were always naked, with hair that could never be fixed.

I live in California and have zero friends that voted yes on prop. 8.  We're all from the 60's , we remember how horrible it was for us growing up .  We all knew even in those days who was gay, but it was never talked about except in private where no one could over hear you.  Why go back to that.

For BK's notes.  I found in the cd shelves, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Prime Time Musicals, and Unsung Irving Berlin, to listen to this weekend.  Word of the day, CLOU from yesterday is not in my dictionary.
Brougham, I think my car collector friend might have a Morgan in his garage, it that close ?

On Tuesday, the State of indiana goes to trial in its case to avoid paying many of us money for hours worked many years ago.  Regular state employees worked 37.5 hours per week, but those of us in institutions worked 40 hours per week at the same salary.

An earlier judgment found for the employees, but the state refused to abide by the judgment and a trial has been set.

Time will tell.

I don't like Paul Newman comedies......but that's not the topic.  Films I like include:

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
From the Terrace
Cool Hand Luke

DR Sam - You can also use "Modify" after the fact, well, "after the post", to make corrections.

The third and final day of SETC 2009 is upon me. I'm gonna go ahead and get a head start on repacking my luggage now just to make things easier for me later. I hope.

In any case, I have another 270 or so auditions to sit through today, so...

Laters...

DR Jose - my friend Karen is at SETC, too - say HI to her for me!

We never told my niece about Barbie's birthday party in case they couldn't go.

But my sister must have told her this morning because at 7:30am i get a call, "auntie i'm going to barbie's party at the toy store!"

I agree with DR FJL. The end was heartbreaking and moving. And very sad. But i
suppose jim/sam's reaction wasn't that far from what i expected. But very sad for
melinda to say she's done. I think after reading DR mattH's take on things that
i disagree. It never occured to me during the show that the doctor could have been
in jim/sam's head.  And i really don't think he was. Sam's reaction made sense for
him. He still said he wanted to be with melinda. I think it will just take more time.
The doctor was in the street, to show us that we have not seen the last of him.
But to me i don't think he approached sam yet. Just my take on things. Plus so far
we've only seen the doctor capable of talking to a) the ghost patients and b) kids
who apparently have an easier connection with ghosts. He never tried to talk in
the ear of the teachers, melinda or anyone else. fdkj dfakj  boo hoo boo moo loo

I hope no one faints when I say this:

I have seen two Paul Newman movies: "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy... Kid."

And we don't change our clocks in Arizona. We do not need extra daylight in the summertime.

Good Morning. Last night Vixdad decided to buy chinese takeout for his and the Vixter's dinner.  He got me some wonton soup.  I had a little broth and about a third of a wonton.  I find I feel a little bit "sick"  when I eart.

I guess my body has to get used to the idea of eating again.

Thank you all for the great food suggestions.  I am sure I will be trying them allout over the next few weeks.

I did try a little orange juice this morning.  It tasted terrible.  oh well.  Maybe in another week or so it will taste right.
