Oh I forgot about LADY L - Mr Newman and Miss Sophia Loren had some fine chemistry going in that movie....or maybe it was biology.  Some of her leading men were a bit overwhelmed, but Mr Newman was wonderful.

First I'm busy - then I'm not - and then I'm busy - and now I'm not.  But that will change soon, I am sure.

Vibes to DR DANISE for her upcoming television exposure.

For many YEARS we did not change our clocks - and it was a useless and time-consuming debate in the State Legislature every year....a waste of time.  Then one day, the CHANGE SIDE won, and now we change the clocks.  But nothing much happened one way or the other, except that tomorrow many people will be late to church.

A day late for the media report, but we finished BURN AFTER READING last night.  What a great, quirky little film.  Laugh out loud hilarity mixed with gaspingly unexpected moments.  We loved it.

From yesterday:

BTW, HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS is really only fun for me because it was filmed in the Seattle / Tacoma area, so I recognized a lot of location shots.

Mr. Stephen Sondheim was asked who he would have liked to sing his songs. His Answer: FRED ASTAIRE

What Sondheim songs do you think would have been suited to the talent of Fred Astaire ?

Actually, only 23 hours long.

I have heard from DR Danise.  Thelma is nervous using Facebook or coming here will cause a virus & of course Danise is honoring her wishes.  Danise said to please tell everyone hi & to share her news.

"Just wanted to let you know that I went to every TV station in town.  One called me late in the day yesterday is very interested in my story. He said they will be in touch with me next week.

I just pray that they can help.

Please ask for those famous HHW vibes on my behalf.  A crossed finger and a prayer would be welcome as well."

Today is the Pops concert.  It's a very small choir this session (only about half our usual size), and some of my best tenors and basses are not with us this time, so I would appreciate SATB vibes.  Especially the TB part, though that sounds a bit unseemly.  :)

Of course, I will give you TB vibes.   ;D

BK-

The sad part of sequencing a CD Is that in the old days of LP's You could sequence and have the listener hear what was intended. Today you can easily skip around tracks and also shuffle off to Buffalo on your i-pods.

Greetings from beautiful Lima, OH!  We are here for Richard to assist the Bishop with mass tomorrow morning.  They're having a meeting now.

On our way up here, we stopped at my former workplace.  It was the first time I'd been back since Dec. 19.  I still don't miss it.

Here's a nice going away gift:

I just licensed  a minimum 3-performance run of TRACY, my 1-person play about Spencer Tracy.

It's going to be performed at the Athens Theatre in New Bern, NC, May 29-31.

Paul White, who really looks the part, will play the role, and if it does well he may "take it on the road".

The play was last performed during the 1980s in Los Angeles.

My wife and I have been invited to attend the opening, but since we may/may not be settled in our new Austin home by then, that decision is currently "on hold".

Congrats!!  I hope it works out and goes on the road. I'd love to see it

Dear Laura,       I grew up in Coolidge, Arizona.  From I think 8 to 12 years old.    Remember that playing involved being outside next to irrigation canals, horny toads, cotton fields, lizards, snakes, and learning to shoot beer cans.  Being a kid was fun.  I did not live with either of my parents.

Dear Jane,   Their are tons of people walking their dogs all day and night in this neighborhood.  I'm not afraid unless the owner looks like they do not train their dog.  So now I think I am really more afraid of the human not in control, than the actual dog.

Did listen to Cinderella and Peter Pan.  Both just wonderful for Saturday morning.  Next is the new U2 cd  I just picked up.  Also watched "Total Recall" with Arnold Schwarzenegger, science fiction movies make me happy.  JPL has an open house every May or June, always go when I can, before 911 almost the whole facility was open to the public, now only some buildings will be open, but it is still worth going.

While I ate lunch, I watched last night's FLASHPOINT. The hostage plot was engrossing and I liked that. The macho posturing at the first part of the show ("You actually WENT to THE LION KING?" "I must go get my purse, ladies") is tiresome and forced, but the cast is solid, so I'll continue watching unless they pull more of that stuff.

I watched two more episodes of JAG. The first revealed the pregnancy of Lt. Singer (who was in real life star David James Elliott's wife; sorry, but she HAD to use influence to get on a network show. She is a TERRIBLE actress.). The investigation part of the show was quite good.

The second was a murder mystery with a sailor killing prostitutes in Milan. Some good detective work. I'll start on disc three when I go back downstairs.
