VIBES TO CRAIG AND IOANA

Did she apply for an employment authorization when she applied for her green card? That takes about 2 months after applying....if so, hopefully soon.

I'm pretty sure the Sondheim Illya song would have been mentioned or discussed in Stephen Banfield's book, but I don't have it handy at the moment.  What about that other site - "The Complete Sondheim Reference Guide," or some such?
Not in Banfield, at least not in the index.

Good evening all.  My BIL (jhvw's dad) could use some major vibes.  He was laid off today from his job as a national sales manager for 2 or 3 tv stations in the Joplin, MO/Pittsburgh, KS area. He's done a fantastic job for them and has always gotten great feedback so this came out of the blue and is a real shocker.  My sister said it's no secret so I'm not speaking out of turn. The company that owns his stations and others decided to get rid of the national sales managers to save money, so he's not the only one, but that isn't much consolation.  All vibes would be greatly appreciated.

That's good. That's the next step.  One of my client's who married a US Citizen and applied in January, got her employment authorization today.  Tell her to hang in there

bk and DR Michael s et al - Have you contacted Mark Eden Horowitz at the Library of Congress?  Have you posted the question on the Sondheim listserv?  -Which has "slowed down" a bit, but trivia questions seem to bring out the posters/answers.

I am not familar with Sondheim listserv, can you post a link to it and I will gladly post it there.

Thank you DRs Cilla, George, and td.  We are shocked he doesn’t have a job after nine months.  Of course he would not have been so choosy at the beginning of his search if he had known how bad things would get.

Back from souping and sorting at the booksale site.  My assigned task tonight was to go through the book tables and pull "better books" that we can price a little higher than the guidelines suggest.  I decided to pull anything that was 2007 or 2008 and in good condition and there's quite a nice little assortment.  The best part was that I got to look at ALL the books, but I was very good about not bringing many home.  My best find was my very own Messiah score for someday when Richard and I are in NYC during the holidays and can attend a sing-along.  He has the score that belonged to his mother.

Cilla, will they be interviewed together to make sure it is legit or is that only if the powers that be suspect something?  Not that I'm concerned, it is obvious they are a couple even without documentation of their multiple years together.

Thank you DR Ginny.  And it will be tough on us all if they have to move home.  We have become used to only one pet & just the two of us.  Plus there are even fewer job opportunities here.
