Last night I was struck with the flu again!!!  Could not even watch television or listen to music.....my head still hurts....

Everything I ate yesterday decided to go out the way it came in.....ugh....it is better this morning....but I am staying home....two Fridays in a row....this is terrible.

In my CD player:

Man From Rio....waiting to be heard....followed by ANYA.....

The picture of Mr Gavin and Ms Towers was lovely to see.  And it must have been a nice surprise to them to find it available after all these years!

Back to bed.

Happy Birthday to former DR RODZINSKI.

I loved the reading the notes and hearing about the untold adventures of MR BK in the 1980's!

Once again, BK, great notes.  I've always loved Annette O'Toole!

Damn!  Just lost a long post about a bizarre movie I watched last night--DOWN TO EARTH with Rita Hayworth, Larry Parks and Marc Platt.

Good morning, all! I have to be at Toyland around 11 to interview a candidate for office manager; last month we sadly lost the wonderful Matthew Brookshire who's off to bigger and more exciting ventures.

As soon as my CD of ANYA arrived, I opened the carton and read the liner notes; I wish there had been made two or three less paragraphs about the writer of the notes and a synopsis of the show. Knowing that Mr Abbott wanted a love triangle and trying to fit the great Irra Petina, who was added to the show, needed some help in figuring out what had been done to a play I'd read a century ago and the film version I've seen maybe twice.

I stayed up to watch President Obama on the Jay Leno show, and then I read a bit more of Lewis Stadlen's wonderful biography. I recommend it. I got through the turmoil of MINNIE'S BOYS, working with Same Levene and Jack Albertson in THE SUNSHINE BOYS, the revival of CANDIDE, and I think that's when I passed out.

I'm currently copying the world's longest piano part for Mr Raines' concert.

TOD:
DVD: Those Netflix movies are still sitting here
CD:  ANYA, DEAR EDWINA, CARMEN, songs of the 1970s
    VCR: Artistic poses

Today is Spring. Hopefully more snow will melt.

The situation here is very odd. We have had a few very warm days this week (low to mid 50s).
Well considering how much colder it's been some people have been outside in short sleeves.

Wednesday was warm, but yesterday was like 30s. And those same people were still wearing their short sleeve shirts outside! Crazy.

I actually didn't wear boots for the first time. Yeah!

Good morning!

SUnny and pretty but chilly today. Only going to get to 60 today, but I see blue sky, so I'm happy about that. We actually had more rain last night which really surprised me.

I'm not sure how many DRs are familiar with Cake Beauty. But it is a line of beauty products that i am in love with. Because not a single one makes my eyes burn.

Anyhow they sell their products online and at Sephora. Last night I was at Sephora and for Barbie's birthday they have created a new line of Barbie products.

The smell is the most delicious scent ever. I could not stop sniffing my hands. It smells like lemon cupcakes (sort of a lemon, vanilla, caramel smell). Amazing!

I will likely take half a day off today. I'll watch the first disc in the DANTON set this afternoon for my work project and get the film part of the set written up. With no GHOST WHISPERER or FLASHPOINT on tonight, I can give the evening over to THE ROBE on Blu-ray (if it arrives). If it doesn't, I'll finish up DANTON's second disc  tonight.

I am certainly not complaining about 60 degrees. We have had an uncommonly cold winter this year with two snow storms, rare for the South.

However, I'm now wondering if I missed the forecasted rain this morning here in Mt. Pleasant/Charleston.  The view from my window is of a very sunny and blue sky. :)

DR JoseSPiano - what a fabulous Charleston travelogue!!!  Really enjoying that.

Thank You, DR DAW.  I still have to sort through and edit through the almost 200 non-food and non-Monkey pics I took yesterday while I was walking (and walking and walking) around Charleston yesterday.  I didn't realize it, but yesterday was the first day of the Charleston Home & Garden Tours... And I think I may have inadvertently toured a few gardens and alley-ways just by following various small groups of people.  I have a brief rehearsal this afternoon, but I think I'll pick up a brochure and see about taking one of the official tours next week.  There really are some beautiful houses and gardens here.
