Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written on a weekday, and now it is time for you to post until the weekday cows come home.

bk, Diane Krall's new album, Quiet Nights, is being released next week.  It is produced and arranged by Claus Ogerman.  I've heard very good things about it.

Today's notes - beautiful and sentimental.  In a good way.     :)         Hope you can eventually re-release the program.

Johnny Jellybean (Canadian Version)

This picture was taken at fondly remembered restaurant called Piazza Tomaso. It was torn down over 20 years ago or so and nothing was ever built in its place.

You might recognize Ted Zeigler as Johnny. He went on to be a regular on the Sonny & Cher Show (both versions

And also the show was called "Jellybean Comedy Clubhouse" but I never knew it as that.

There was the Squawk Box and Toomey the duck. I remember meeting him at one of the personal appearances and me and the rest of the kids were disappointed that Toomey couldn't come too.

Captain Kangaroo

I too remember the Captain. His theme music would play until he hung up his keys on the wall. I remember one time they revamp the set and when he entered there was no place to hang the keys and the theme music kept on playing and playing. He finally found a nail and put it in the wall and he finally was able to hang up his keys. He then followed a rope to the new revamped set.  He was opening the doors to the Treasure House.

I also remember that I think that once a year they would show an animate short to the song Puff the Magic Dragon.

Let's see how many characters I can remember

Mr. Greenjeans
Bunny Rabbit
Mr. Moose and his ping pong balls
Town Clown
Banana Man/Clown ??
Dancing Bear

TOD

Captain Kangeroo
Romper Room
Fun at One
Diver Dan
Soupy Sales
The Jerry Mahoney Club
Wonderama
Bozo the Clown

Captain Kangeroo actually lived in Babylon, about 7 miles from where I live.  I always hoped I would run into him so I could say thanks for the wonderful shows but unfortunately I never did.

I loved the magic drawing board that would make pictures while a song played

I remember Mr. GreenJeans, Mr. Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose and dancing bear butI have no memory of Town Clown  or Banana Man
