And JANE

How does the 17 Year Old Look Today?

And What are your Plans For This Special Occasion?

Well apparently much better than I do.  The other day I bumped into a couple I haven't seen in ages.  Keith was walking into a store with Sherlock when I called him back to meet the couple.  As he began walking back towards us the man said "so this must be your son".  Keith is very happy of course. ;D

We don't have any special plans today.  The deck guy is returning to finish.  We will probably take Sherlock into town later & walk around.

We were at a family reunion near Indianapolis over the weekend. We waved, JRand, when we drove through your town.

Here is the moving walkway in the new Indianapolis airport.  This airport is so new that the talking GPS we got the day before the trip didn't know where the airport was.

TOD:

Almost all of my favorites have been mentioned except for "The Flame" from FLORA, THE RED MENACE.  I think it's a perfect musical comedy set piece--funny character-driven lyrics with music that builds progressively from a subtle march to a rollicking polka.  The number never fails to make me laugh out loud.

A song that has been mentioned but that I partial to is "Mr. Cellophane".  It was the first song that I ever sang solo in front of an audience.

Very cool video, DR Laura.  And it also ties in to today's TOD.

Ouch is right.  The thing is, for years it was the other way around. People would see me with the boys think I was closer to their age.  The last year has not been kind to me & Keith has inherited his mother's beautiful skin.

It's an unfounded rumor that this was Tharon Musser's last project.

DR'sArnold MBrockman, FJL, Ben JRand, DtM elmore, Ginny, DAW, Cilla, JMK, Jose, Matt H, MBarnumand Bruce,  Keith's says thank you for the birthday wishes.

I hope I didn't miss anyone.  He does feel he knows all of you and worries along with me when things aren't well & shares your good news with me.  Matt H he likes to hear what you have to say about shows, if we agree or not.

MBarnum, I know Keith wishes I were the housewife in those cards.  ;D

I must take Sherlock before it gets too hot.  I really was miserable yesterday.  Last night was my worst night yet.  If it weren't for drugs I wouldn't get any sleep.

There are a few folks I see every day on my walk from the parking garage to work who apparently feel the same way!

Well....here is the vapid and ego-driven non talent named Bob Braun who took over from Ruth Lyons...
watch at your own peril.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UkZQUybNgQ&feature=related

I don't have the antipathy for ole Bob that you seem to, Jrand, but like him or not, he was probably as well known a fixture in Cincinnati as Ruth Lyons, Paul Dixon, Bob Shreve, Bonnie Lou, and Pete Rose were.  He later appeared on a lot of infomercials I'd see out in California.  His son Rob (who was almost a dead ringer for him) was, for a long time, a local Cincinnati newscaster...may still be.  But thanks for the link...which had a lot more YouTube clips of other WLW shows like Ruth's, Dixon's, and Shreve's.  Very nostalgic!

Speaking of Tharon Musser, does the traditional tribute of dimming the lights on Broadway strike anyone else as an odd way of honoring her?

Speaking further of Tharon Musser, was she the inspiration for Shirley Markowitz?

And how long was it, exactly, before Homeland Security confiscated your video camera?       ;)

Have any of you seen Altar Boyz?

If you have - do you think it would be a fun (and appropriate) show to take the Vixter and some of her friends to as as Sweet 16 Celebration?

I just got an email advertising $25 and $30 tickets which is something that I could probably swing for 3 or 4 girls.

Opinions?

And yes the Vixter turns 16 on the 29th!
