I feel so lost now that my Monday night TV programming has been decimated by the season-ending finales last week of "Chuck" and "Heroes."  I'm all caught up on my DVR viewing this evening and there's still plenty of time to spare before "The Biggest Loser's" next-to-last episode airs on NBC.  Happily, I'll get another couple of shows on my DVR cache this evening.

I spilled two bottles of nail polish all over the bathroom floor.  I did my best to clean up the mess & Keith vacuumed the glass.  I need to go back & touch up the areas that didn't come out, at least try as I think the damage is done.

Will you be taking care of those touch ups with more nail polish?

LOL-Nail polish remover & then vinegar water to remove the polish remover.  It doesn't look too bad.  I doubt I'll notice it.

I got quite a bit watched this evening.

I began by finishing WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION which I had begun last night. What a marvelous film and Laughton gives such a sly, brilliant performance.

I finished MEDIUM which still had about a half hour to go. Wow! And more to come! It will be hard to wait a week to see how this all plays out!

Next, I watched Sunday night's LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. What a sad story that was!

Then, because I had some time before I wanted to start watching NCIS, I took a disc out of the NCIS Season Five set and watched an episode from last season. This was the one with the little boy whose fingerprint showed up on the APHIS database as a kidnapped child. Really good show, one of the best from last season.

Then I watched tonight's new episode of NCIS, the conclusion of the two-parter. The ending was a shocker! Not that much mystery to the case, but I was not prepared for that ending for the pilot part of the episode for the NCIS spinoff show.

Bessie Mae Mucho was mentioned in the notes.  Isn't she the sister of Spanish beauty Kay Serrah?

I thoroughly enjoyed THE MENTALIST tonight. I always enjoy plots dealing with con games and con men and women, and this week's show did not disappoint. But the police certainly made a couple of bone-headed mistakes in the early going.

And I concluded my evening with tonight's AMERICAN IDOL. The quality of the performances receded with each new singer.

Adam was best, Allison was next, Kris was next, and Danny was last. Poor Danny trying to be Adam with the shrieking last note that was one of the most painful things I've ever heard wailed on the show from a singer of his ability. His voice actually began wearing out about halfway through the song, and it got progressively worse until that screeching last note. Argh! How terrible.

I miss them, too, but in my case, I have THE CLOSER to look forward to fairly soon.

I'm thinking now I may just do THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE tomorrow. It isn't a long film, and there aren't that many bonuses on it either, and since I have no plans to eat lunch out tomorrow, it'll be convenient to go ahead and get it out of the way.

It certainly doesn't look like I should expect BIG this week. These Fox Blu-rays seem to take about a week to get here from California.

Notes are written and will probably go up around nine-thirty, at which point I'll try to get some sleep.

Back from seeing NINE TO FIVE.  I was simply not expecting the second act to be a tear-inducing powerhouse.  the reviews I read did not lead me to expect that.

TAR SPOILERS

I would say that in the finale there is absolutely no way to predict who will win.
All of these teams have come to the mat first. Obviously tammy/victor are the
strongest. But in a one leg race anybody can win. Plus they won't have the
advantage once they leave china.  I don't think they have been doing as good
lately (they sucked in the swimming challenge) and could have easily been
eliminated there if the other team had known how to swim. I am curious if i
am the only person cheering for the redheads? I think any of the 3 teams
would not be totally upsetting. But i really want to see the first all woman winners!

I dislike the redheads with every fiber of my being...or at least the redhead who is so mean to anyone who does not speak English. I honestly can't tell the two gals apart.

Good evening!  I've started another painting project.  I didn't plan to paint my dining room until later in the summer, but I bought this really cool display case from a friend that will be perfect to display some of my antique glass (my grandmothers and mother collected it)  Anyway the case is huge, so I decided I need to paint the dining room before the case is delivered on Thursday or Friday.   I painted the wall where the case will go.  I like it and will post photos when I'm farther along with the project.

Now it's time for sleep.  It was a long day at work followed by painting.  Tomorrow I have to be in court 30 miles from here at 9:00 AM, so I better get some sleep.
