I guess it's time for me to head downstairs to get cleaned up for my lunch out with best friend John.

THE AMAZING RACE SPOILERS

SORT OF SPOILER WARNINGS SORT OF SPOILER WARNINGS SORT OF SPOILER WARNINGS SORT OF SPOILER WARNINGS
I didn't mind the outcome at all.  All three teams fought good and hard and did their best and in the end, the best team won.  The "amazing" moments for me were: 1.  Jamie actually apologizing for her behavior (though I guess it helped that the cab driver could understand English.), 2.  Luke and Jamie helping each other with the last challenge, 3.  Luke telling Marge how happy he was to have her as a mom--that one got to me.

I sort of agree with everything you wrote. Yes all the teams did great in the last
episode. And the best team did win. However, I really feel like Luke and Margie
should have won (even though they are my least favorite of the teams). They had
this one in the bag. AT first i wondered why they would let luke do the final
challenge since he does not have a lot of patience and gives up easily. But when
the mom said she had no memory and luke had been studying. Well i could not
believe how great he did. He got the first 11 before anyone else even started.
But watching that i knew if he made a mistake then he would falter. What i don't
get is how he could get the first 11 and not remember the 2 most recent. I felt sad.
They should have won this. I also liked Jamie apologizing. And then watching
how wonderful it was for her to help luke. It was so sweet. I guess i never
really got the jamie-hating. To me it was like they wanted to show something
mean. So  the editors showed every single time she got upset. I'm sure all the
other teams did similar things.  She seemed sweet in many other aspects especially
re: her relationship with luke and margie. That's what made me wonder if it was
the editing. And how lovely for luke to say how great margie is. I mean my god
did you see her carry that pig. She never put it down! She basically did everything
the entire race. Which is why it would have been interesting if luke had been able
to win it for them. That said i really wanted jamie and cara to win. And i think if
their cabbie hadn't gotten them lost they would have had a chance.  I do think
tammy and victor were the strongest team over the entire race. But i didn't feel
that great about them winning last night when they were so far behind. It just didn't feel right to me. But they were a strong team! n1 2 2 3j one e to oiw ieiou iu iu  one oiuoiuiou

I'm looking forward to DWTS and the 2 new MEDIUMS tonight. Although i'm not sure if i will get to watch them both. It is my aunt's birthday today. So we are going out to dinner. Only problem is she invited one of her friends who is always late. So we have to wait for her arrive to order. Hopefully she will decide to be on time tonight. IT's hard when it's not a buffet (for my sis who is pregnant and my 3 yr old niece who is impatient).

I went to bed late. But OMG this finale was the best ever! So happy with the
outcome. It was a really great finale! So funny! Before the show i would have said
annie would win. BUt once joan won the 3/5 criteria for the final challenge. And
once piers and the other contestants said she should win i had hope! I especially
loved after her designer quit. And she had the people from her charity decorating
the room. That was so touching. Made me teary! 1 2 3o  ui ui iu iu o 1 2 3 4 45 4

Did some shopping, put together a new computer task chair, and watched the lawn man spray the weeds.  Whew!

I may be off rehearsal tonight, but I will not know until almost time to go....my guess is no.

Busy morning, including an interest in a pre-publication performance of the new Babes In Toyland edition. We'll see what happens.

Also, calls concerning Jerome Moross and his Golden Apple and the Library of Congress' Life Begins at 8:40 project.

Now to Mr Frank Loesser!

By the time I read the notes BK is already up in the air.

Hoping the seat next to him is empty, no crying babies and whatever else is needed for a comfortable and easy flight home to LAX

Even before I read MattH's post I, too, was thinking Sean Penn for the TOD. He is indeed a joy to watch.

Well, I guess I should be asleep by now - it's 1:37AM here in Manila.  However, I've been editing and uploading photos for the past few hours.  So...

Here's DAY 1 of my trip again.  I've added titles and descriptions.

And, yes, ~~~~~CONTINUED TRAVEL VIBES TO BK~~~~~

I'm guessing his flight should be landing by now if it hasnt' already.

*And it was good to hear that there was not wait for a table at John's Pizza.  Sometimes those post-matinee crowds can bring that place to a crawl.

I swear, each time I've logged on to HHW over the past few days, I've done a double-take: "What?!?! It's already 1:00AM and we're only on Page Three?!?!?!?"  ;)

I just had a telephone conversation with Lorin, John McGlinn's sister whom I adore. I guess the Memorial Event for John will be on his birthday Sept 18, 2009, at Merkin Hall. We discussed speakers and singers and planning the Big Do.
