Have you been terrorizing and intimidating the neighbors again?

Now, now. I am practicing my song for Sunday.

Maybe you are right.

Are you doing the song? How's it sound?

They went to the Goldstein home. I hope everything is ok.

ETA: They left after a couple of minutes. That's a good sign.

Feel better, Cilla.

Not to make light, but "Itching Like Crazy" could almost be a parody of "Miss You Like Crazy."  Maybe we could join forces on that.

And speaking of "The Young & The Restless"...

Here's an article from last week's "Advocate" about Thom Bierdz, and his return to "Y&R":

Thom Bierdz Coming Home

*And I wonder if this is related to the other recent "Y&R"-related news.

**And my apologies if this article was already posted here.

Memorial Day remembrance of my Dad:

That's a good idea. I think I've got a picture of my dad in his Army uniform. Let me look for it.

It is a good idea!  Here's picture (it's a scan of a copy of a copy) of my dad in the late 1950s shortly after he joined the army.  He's with his three brothers and it's probably the last picture that was taken of the four of them together.  One of them died from some degenerative disease (I can never remember what), one is living is Colorado and doesn't want anything to do with the rest of the family (for whatever reason) and one has disappeared and no one knows where he is or what happened to him...very, very strange. :-\

As for the Free-For-All-Food Topic of the Day....

How about...

Since it is Memorial Day...

And even though we may done this before, but...

What are you favorite picnic and cookout foods?

Hamburgers, hot dogs, the usuals.

LOL, thanks FJL, it's really just a bug bite, but I appreciate the thought and the creativity.  Do I know Miss You Like Crazy?

Ok, I remember it.  It wasn't one of my favorites, but it has real potential as a bug bite/itching like crazy parody

Wow! I had a lot more to VALKYRIE than I thought. Besides the commentaries, there was a near two-hour documentary tracing German history from post World War I through the rise of the Nazis and on into the war, then to the story covered in the film, and then the aftermath. Very interesting stuff. Great to see many ancestors of the people portrayed in the film.

Some of the casting for VALKYRIE, by the way, was eeriely close to the looks of the real people.

When I finished that, I finished watching an NCIS episode that I had started yesterday. It was about a female naval officer who had been kidnapped. Zac Efron had a small role as an underaged teen sipping a beer and caught by Tony and Ziva.

Then I watched a BONES episode, the first half of the two part season premiere this year that took place in London. Enjoyable episode with the different character interplays, but with a lot of characters on both sides of the Atlantic, it was kind of a frantic episode.

I rewatched last season's premiere episode of THE CLOSER since Jason O'Mara was the guest star, and I enjoyed it all over again. He's got such great chemistry with Kyra Sedgwick. Their scenes together just crackle.

And I concluded my evening viewing with MEDIUM. Enjoyable episode, a little lighter than usual (though the Lee and Lyn story wasn't especially interesting to me). I thought I had it figured out REAL early, but I was only half right, and their story ended up better than the one I had thought they were going for.

Also, kind of sneaky of NBC saying that next week is the MEDIUM finale. Well, it IS the finale for them, but not for the series.

I would need to find a pic of my Dad, which maybe I will do.  In the meantime, you can read a sentence or two about him here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Douglas,_Utah

and here's a news article on the award my Dad received which was presented to him by his good friend Gen. Westmoreland:

http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=336&dat=19830216&id=n-UOAAAAIBAJ&sjid=ZoMDAAAAIBAJ&pg=7337,360795

I got to meet "Bill" and "Kitzy" (no, I'm not kidding) that night and they gave me several lemons from Bob and Dolores Hope's tree.

Nice!
