Has Harlan ever discussed Percy Faith's score to THE OSCAR?

I had lunch at Hugo's and have finished everything to do with the cast album, and have had several telephonic conversations with various building permit people - I've been given the number of the inspector who's handling the property next door and will be calling them - he can tell these people to hold the noise down.  I also talked to the construction company who have now changed their story - they WERE supposed to be finished yesterday, but the owners have asked for more work - some drainage stuff.  It really will be neverending until the two-story monstrosity is built and these entitled peckerwoods waltz in to their new home.  If they'd been smart, they would have knocked on my door and the door of the people to the north of them and apologized up front for any inconvenience.  When they do move in all I can tell you is I will make their life as much a living hell as they've made mine - that I can promise you.

I've started yet another trend.

ASK BK

Let's try these titles for the soundtrack releases

UA MOVIES
Ernest Gold (The Defiant Ones)
Johnny Mandel (I Want To Live!)

Non UA  Films But Great Composers
Elmer Bernstein (The Buccaneer)
Dimitri Tiomkin (The Old Man and The Sea)

Excellent guesses.  Incorrect, but excellent.

I'm really enjoying the Sprint commercial where a wedding director calls for "the stunt groom". Can't wait for the honeymoon sequel and the call for "the stunt c***".

Perhps BK can get some royalties.

DR CP - I thought I saw that poster either when you posted a photo of your library or on your blog, but it never hurts to have an extra!

I think I've got an extra somewhere around here.

..but since no one here seems to like CHESS, I'm not so disappointed anymore.

Well, I for one really like the music from CHESS; Woody and I saw both the original production in London and a revised US Version in Long Beach, CA. The book has some near fatal problems which make stage productions less than overwhelming, but the wonderful score makes a ticket worthwhile.

Just after midnight I'll be giving everyone the jump on our new soundtrack release.  The cast album will follow a week later - it was simply going to be madness to do them together.

Good evening everyone.

It's late and I must go to sleep.  Really sleepy week.

Congratulations on getting your new computer, DR George!

Thanks Ginny and FJL!  I opened the box with the monitor and wow!  It's big!   I can't wait to set it all up...but I must. :D

I'll be curious to hear about the PBS IN THE HEIGHTS shows.  The PBS station i get on digital is not showing it (or at least it's not scheduled this week). But i have another PBS station that i can record on my VCR and i see it is on at 5am on Friday.

I really enjoyed it.  I loved IN THE HEIGHTS, so it was really fun to see the documentary

I just watched this and loved it.  It was done very well...in my humble opinion (IMHO in Internet lingo).
