I have a question for anyone that might know the answer, and it's about Hello, Dolly! - something of which we can never have enough of.

In 2000 or a little before, Tams-Whitmark began providing alternate keys for the character of Dolly Levi.  I guess after many years of inquiries and things like that, they finally gave in.  The new keys were a 5th or so above Carol Channing's original keys in the score.  It was an additional rental, but worth it.  Recently, a friend of mine who is directing a production of the show, noticed that the alternate keys were no longer listed on the TM website and when asked, TM said that they were not offering them anymore.

Does anyone know the reasoning for this?

Yes, Carol has decided on one more revival!   ;D

She might enjoy visiting Poland for part of the summer, what we saw of it is beautiful.

I suspect her family who will have to take off work for months and bear the expense of a foreign trip will not enjoy it at all.

der Brucer

I wonder what would happen if the family said to INS - fine, she's all yours - please find her appropriate accommodations in Poland.

Tempting but too risky.  Don't they just send the kids off?  I found the following:

"The Bledniaks plan to travel with Ewelina to Poland on July 20. Once there, they will have to wait for an interview with the U.S. Embassy. Embassy officials will evaluate Ewelina's documentation and make her undergo a medical examination. If the family's petition is granted, she will be permitted to return to the U.S., and to re-file for a green card."

That"s called Consular processing.  She's a minor so she won't accrue ulawful presence.  My guess is she'll get a green card

Boy, is it hot, and boy, am I ever STUPID! I left the door to my office open and all the cool air from the AC flowed out into the rest of the upstairs that I don't cool, so when I came upstairs it was hot as hell in this office. I have the floor fan going, and the AC is doing its thing, so it'll be pleasant in here soon enough, but I feel like a complete idiot.

I feel for ya!  I do.

High here in Oakland CA today was F 69.  It was a "warm" 69, though.  Not like yesterday's very breezy and chilly F 69.  We are supposed to get rain today.   ANOTHER rain....IN JULY!

I don't know where I am any more.

Or what month!

For any DRs who may be in need of HDMI, on Amazon right now, you can get:

"HDMI (2 meter) 6 foot cable HQ 1080P 1.3b"

for only $0.21!!!!

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002L5R78/cali-20

*And there's a bundle deal on that page where you can add a "Fiber Optical Toslink Digital Audio Optic Interface 6 Foot Cable" and a "Eforcity New 10 Ft HDMI to HDMI Digital Video Cable GOLD-PLATED" - You can get all three items for $1.33!!

MUCHO THANX - I've been looking for new cables needed for the surround sound stuff I got for the bedroom.

And since I was there, I added the Blu-Ray Robe.

Now they have Blu-Ray sleepwear!

It is very nice to have you home, Jane.

Michael S., I would love to fly down and see NUDIE, but I can't take time off of work for a Monday or Tuesday performance.

In less than the year mentioned in the article I read?  I hope they can book the interview date ahead of time, and have family to stay with.

I am very angry at the moment at PETSMART (I think that is a national chain).  They always brag about how much they care about pets and people and how they only do adoption of animals through the Humane Society.

This morning I was there getting Nicky his hairball medicine, and I decided to take a look at what cats they were boarding for the Humane Society.  I saw this one incredible little kitten (8 months old) a lynx point with a beautiful mask.  His name was Jedi.  As soon as I walked into the area he jumped down off of his bed and came to the front of the cage and started reachng through the bars to touch me.  We immediately bonded, and although he was a little younger than I wanted, I decided to take him.

I took the paperwork for the Humane Society, we put a hold on Jedi until tomorrow at noon.  I planned on going to the Humane Society at 9:00 when they opened, pay all the fees, then pick up Jedi and spend the rest of the day aclimating Jedi and Nicky.

PETSMART just called me and this snippy little bitch told me that there had been a mistake and that they already had a hold on Jedi, and that the people just came and got him.  She said the other hold slip was stuck between the two pieces of paper. I told her I taken all of the paperwork off of  the clipboard and read everything, and there was no other hold slip with his paperwork.  That is when the girl got snippy and said, "Well, I don't know what to tell you, but there was two holds on the cat and the other people already took him."  Good bye and thank you.

I feel like I lost Angel a second time.   :'(

It's an absurd process and one of the reasons we need immigration reform.  especially for the kids who came here with their families and now are in  a similar position.

I'm in very happy mode right now.  I'm home and it's not 8PM yet.  I've read the posts.  I don't have to do anything but unload the car tonight.   AND SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP.  Under the covers by 10AM.

I just made a big stink with the apartments down stairs, 5 units , one of which is stinking up my apartment with incense to cover up the rest.   I've tried my best to put up with it for 5 months, but since Sunday I've had it.   If I could afford to get out of this lease and leave I would.  But now they are stuck with me.

Good Evening!

Well, I believe I may have just found my new favorite place in New York City... The High Line.  I had no real idea what to expect once I got down there, but once I walked up the stairs to the former elevated train tracks... WOW!  A Total WOW!!!!  -And, yes, I took pictures.  Lots of pictures.

Thanks for the all the Apartment/Roommate Vibes!...

Lo and behold, when I got home, I opened my email and there was an email from a med student who starts school on Monday and is still looking for a place to live.  And it turns out the school location he'll be working out of is only a ten minute walk from here.  So... We shall see...  :)
