Thursday morning greetings!  Still hot & humid, with air-quality warnings, here in SW Ohio.  Sounds like a nice day to stay inside and get ready for NYC!

We haven't had spaghetti at our house for a long time. I guess that's my fault since I'm the cook  ;D

DR Ben - I passed on your "adorkable" comment to David Pogue via Twitter.  He likes it. He thinks. As does his wife. She thinks. ;)

*Of course, when I went back to check your post, you actually said "adorkably attractive".  I'll just consider "adorkable" as a contraction thereof.  ;)

DR Michael Shayne, John McGlinn's family would very much like an email address for her. I'm surprised that Ron Raines didn't have it since he played the leading man to her Merry Widow about 10 years ago.

DR MattH, re: THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS's adam.

In canada we get the show a day ahead on Global. New Adam started CdnWed/US Thurs. You'll probably recognize him from Veronica Mars.

Oh, my! I hope he doesn't think I'm stalking him  ;)

I read his column every Thursday, that's stalking enough, although I wouldn't pass up a chance to meet him in person. He lives and works on Long Island (I know that from his writing, not because I have personal information) but I'll have to hang out at the Times Building and maybe catch him if he comes in to deliver something in person. Or, I could just  scour all of Long Island looking for him  ;D

And congrats to Matt H. on his 43,999 Posts! ;)

I deliberately left it at that number so I could get to the next "millstone" this morning!

Good morning!

It's going to be another very hot day into the 90s. The newspaper said we had a trace of rain yesterday, but there wasn't a drop at my house. Doesn't appear to be any in the offing for several days either.

That's one of the main reasons I'm eager to watch. I love that actor.

DR Jose,

I think you're misunderstanding about the increase in Oscar nominations. They're only increasing to ten nominees in the Best Picture category. The others (acting categories) will remain five nominees as always.

I got out early this morning to mow the front yard. (The grass hadn't grown much, but the weeds had been doing just fine without rain.)

Even though the thermometer said 67 degrees, it felt like 87. Not a puff of air stirring at all. Ugh!

So glad to have that behind me.
