I guess due to the July 4th holiday next weekend, HBO isn't running a new episode of TRUE BLOOD on Sunday. For that matter, BURN NOTICE and ROYAL PAINS aren't televising new episodes on Thursday this week either.

And now I think I'm going to head downstairs and go to bed.

Good night!

New York Groove vibes for DR GINNY and DH RICHARD.

Thoughts going out to DR ELMORE for memories of the past....and to DR CILLA LIZ for the future....

Thanks, DR JRand58!

Went and got some low-cal ice cream.  I think I chipped an ancient filling or it's just falling apart, because one of my fillings is now all rough and it's really annoying.  So, it's off to the dentist - I'll make an appointment tomorrow.  Meanwhile the Time Capsule's yellow light is still blinking, but the Internet's working fine, so I won't do anything or try to figure it out till I call Apple tomorrow - although after I post the notes, I may try restarting the computer, and if that doesn't do it, I may unplug the Time Capsule and the modem and then plug them back in - see if that fixes it.

I just got in from the York production of KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY. It's a long show: the first act was 90 minutes and the second's about an hour. After that I went backstage to see Josh Grisetti who played Washington Irving and then to the closing night reception where I saw my friends Bill Parry and Walter Charles. I also spoke to George S Irving and to Tom Jones and his wonderful wife, Janet.

Overall, it was quite well done. I still don't believe that the published libretto, which is what's rented, is actually what played in 1938 because the book is long and very wordy. Very funny, but I believe there were cuts and that Anderson restored them when he printed the text for his own publishing company. The score is wonderful, and the show itself much bigger than the tiny mufty production could tackle really successfully. Still, kudos to them for the successful attempt. Someone needs to do it with a full orchestra and a really solid cast.

Did you all see our DR Dakotacelt's wedding announcement? It's really lovely. I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Thanks for posting that, Elmore. That's a lovely picture. I saw them in Las Vegas just last month.

Still have a blinking yellow light - most annoying, but since everything is thankfully working I'm trying not to pay too much attention to it.

Tried to sleep as much as possible this weekend.

And escape by watching, Godzilla, Iron Man, and Transformers.

Looking forward to only working 4 days this week, and then a 3 day weekend.

I figured out the mystery of the missing sound on my Mac, so the first thing I did was watch FJL's Carolina video. It was great!

Too bad the internet wasn't around when our Evan Mecham was governor. FJL would have had lots of material there!
