I am halfway through "Memory" for Liz and taking a lunch break. She brings out my "One Mo' Time!" streak: for "Unsung Sondheim" I scored "Goodbye for Now" for Liz  and scored it again for "Sondheim at the Movies"; I scored "Memory for Debbie Gravitte, and now I'm doing it for Liz!

I received "Cops and Robbers" at work today!  I'll listen to it after I listen to "Show Girl." :D

I'm Gay! I went to the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck after lunch and had a chocolate soft serve with chocolate sprinkles and I can feel the change in my body. Now I'm FABULOUS. That's his whole agenda, I think. Add the secret ingredient and sell to the general public and before you know it, we will have taken over the world with nothing more than a cup of soft serve ice cream   :D

:)

I may try and track down Doug and his Big Gay Ice Cream Truck when I head out later to run a few errands.  Which "secret ingredient" did you get today? I heard that "cayenne" was being offered today as a free topping.

*And isn't Doug just the nicest guy?

My sister's episode of UFO HUNTERS has now been definitely and positively scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, at 10 p.m. EST.

Subject to change, of course.

We did have a very slight little shower this afternoon. I wouldn't actually have known it had rained if I hadn't seen the street damp. But that was about two hours ago, and the baking sun has dried it all up.

Just listed to SHOW GIRL myself.  It's wonderful!  And it sounds great, too!  The only place where there is a noticeable tape(?) hiss is during "The Inside Story", but the hiss only serves to enhance.

I've been writing the liner notes for the next Kritzerland release.  I can't finish them until I get the master to hear, but at least there two-thirds finished.

When I got in from a fun lunch, I watched BURN AFTER READING. Made me laugh a lot (especially Brad Pitt's airhead trainer), and the HBO-HD broadcast was superb, as close as any broadcast I've seen has been to what Blu-ray looks like in the home.

Then I watched today's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Can't wait for more revelations from Philip Chancellor III. Let's rock them ALL back on their heels.

Getting Show Girl to sound good was a really difficult thing - it was just badly recorded - but the mastering guy did a fantastic job and it sounds so much better than it has any right to.  Especially if you've only heard the vinyl - both the Roulette and Forum versions were perhaps the worst-pressed vinyl albums ever.  I had a sealed copy that I opened and played and it sounded like someone had scratched every track with a knife - that was a brand-new sealed copy that had never been played.

And I concluded my afternoon of leisure viewing with another NCIS Season 3 episode. This one featured four bodies discovered in an icy pond and some gang related events.

There was a lot of ridiculous talk from Tony about McGee's using moisturizing cream coming off as "gay," and it REALLY pissed me off.

Tonight I'll have A POCKETFUL OF RYE and will likely pick a POIROT movie off the shelf to watch - maybe THE HOLLOW, and then I can end my evening with tonight's episode of THE CLOSER.

You're far from stupid, DR Laura.  All you need to do is put the IMG tags around that url:

Hmmm...  All these years I was assuming that my LP of SHOW GIRL was badly scratched because of how it sound--maybe it's actually in mint condition.  But in any case, I'm not at all complaining about how the CD sounds--it's divoon!

BK, have you ever thought about adding a hidden bonus track of one of the un-re-mastered tracks...to show just how bad it originally sounded and how fabulous you and your mastering guy are able to make it sound?

Others have suggested a before and after - I wouldn't do it on the CD itself, but might do it on the Kritzerland site.
