He had me on a med that may cause muscle damage and muscle cramps and she took me off the drug. Since then, my leg cramps and bad right shoulder, the reason I was in physical therapy last autumn, have gone away. the blood tests are checking the drug level in my system; she's trying to flush it out. I really like this lady a lot.

That's very good news, Larry!

And here is  Sammy Stops the World (Stop the World I Want To Get Off 1979)

Gonna Build A Mountain

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YJ4w1J-4s0

I think it's funny that every time the chorus gathers around Sammy, the people closest to him will crouch a bit...and a couple people will squat down to be lower than (the very small) Sammy. :)

And I didn't know that Doug Henning was in this!

We're trying to announce Topkapi tomorrow morning, but I have yet to receive the redone master, and my designer is off in Orange County till late tonight.  We'll see - if we don't get it announced tomorrow, then it won't be until Tuesday or Wednesday because Monday several OTHER announcements are coming.

Vibes to Keith's foot.  Good luck, DRJane in keeping him from using said foot.

Thank you.  He said with the soft boot on his foot and ankle the stationary bike didn’t hurt at all & the movement didn’t turn it.  I think more difficult is keeping off of it at home.  We have out of town company arriving in a few hours & there was lots of work to do inside & out.  At least he didn’t have to push a lawn mower & said the riding mower was ok.

Jane, Jane won't let us hold them for long yet. They still yowl if we pick them up for too long. They are still very young -- about three weeks.

I suppose Jane still doesn't feel totally comfortable with you, yet.

I'm off to be a speaker at the Sioux City Human Rights Commission's first "Coffee Talk" at Meet Virginia coffee shop.  Our topic is Immigration.  I have no idea how well attended this will be.  It's being organized by an Americorp volunteer.  She said she wants me to explain immigration law in 10 minutes, lol.  Yeah right.   It will be fun. I've done several presentations so I can make the points pretty quickly and leave the rest to the Q and A

Immigration Law 101-- Sometimes we let 'em in; sometimes we don't.  Sometimes we're nice to 'em; sometimes we're not.  Sometimes we have really good people coming to the USA; sometimes we don't.

She's comfortable with us. She is one of the sweetest mama kitties we've ever had. She thanks me several times a day for getting her out of the pound. She is just a very concerned mother.

I learned tonight that because of human trafficking, Phoenix has the second highest kidnapping rate in the world.   Be careful out there.     Of course the victims are largely people who paid coyotes to bring them into the country and are now being held for ransom

Or they kidnap other coyotes' clients and hold them for ransom. Or sometimes they just kidnap random immigrants and hold them for ransom.

And I-8 from Mexico and I-10 from Tucson to Phoenix are very dangerous -- coyotes driving erratically to avoid Border Patrol.

The event was very good tonight, packed house at Meet Virginia (named after the Train song "Meet Virginia")  The discussion was spirited and it was great to be a part of it.

Yup, that's what the ICE agent said. He said that human trafficking has become more lucrative than drugs for some.   He aslo said when they threaten to kill if they don't get money - they follow through with the threat. I didn't realize it had gotten that bad

Watching a wonderful Blu-Ray - an import from Japan - all-region - not a film, but a concert.  Brilliant.

I had a fun evening of viewing.

First I finished THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY. Angela finally did talk a little bit about the Oscar nomination. She said she was floored to get it, totally unexpected. (No comment about losing to Anne Revere who played her mother in NATIONAL VELVET).

They didn't find a perfect print of DORIAN for the transfer, but most of it looked splendid, and the Technicolor inserts were certainly effective.

Nothing exciting happens -- I just filmed until the camera card filled up and the camera turned off.
