bk,

If you have not investigated PLANET EARTH on Blu-ray, you really must. The episodes are only an hour long and never wear out their welcome, and yet each one is filled with so many stupendous visual treats that you'll eagerly revisit them making the set well worth the investment.

After finishing the entire set, I was left with such an overpowering respect for our planet and the amount of life it sustains, both plant and animal, and PLANET EARTH touches on every aspect of it with breathtaking visual imagery.

Good Morning.  I need to go take Sugar for a walk before it hits 90 degrees outside.  It's 89 degrees now, so we'd better hurry!  :-\

TOD - I used to go to summer camp every summer, but we stayed in cabins.  I've camped in tents a few times.  Once there was a tornado warning and they had to come rescue us. We were fine but all our food got soaked.  It wasn't really very pleasant.

I'm not particularly fond of summer.  Never really have been.  I'm looking forward to fall

I just realized that I can't run any errands until after the doctor. If she gives me a muscle relaxer or industrial strength ibuprofen, I'll need to go to the pharmacy, so why go at 11? Oy.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm still feeling a bit zonked out.  Better, but still a little groggy.

DR elmore - If I didn't have a coaching and a reading this afternoon, I'd be right down to help you out.  However, I should be done by 5:30, 6:00, and if you need anything just give me a call.  In the meantime, just take your time and be careful.

The writing produced I hope a successful scene. We will see at the reading this weekend, It will be a challenge, As this is an one actor play, he will play four different characters and at times 3 of the 4 are speaking alternating lines

DR Michael S - Have you seen or read Fully Committed?

DR JRand - I would have used an expletive to quiet the crowd.  And, in fact, I have.  And I was just the sub pianist for the evening. But after sitting at the piano for 45 minutes waiting for the director, the choreographer, the conductor, the cast and the technical director to stop "chatting", I finally just "said", "Would you just shut the F*CK up!?!?".

Needless to say, that did the trick.  And the assistant director thanked me for getting things back to some semblance of order.  ;)

We went camping all of the time when I was a little kid. I was not a happy camper, because it meant missing my weekend monster movies.

On the other hand I love to go hiking.

Grumble, grumble....

I just found an attempted delivery slip from FedEx on my front door.  I've been sitting here working all morning; if they'd just taken the trouble to - oh, I don't know - KNOCK or RING THE BELL?  Zach would definitely have let me know that they were there!  It's not earth-shaking, but it's certainly annoying.         >:(

It's a little package from Japan, based on bk's recommendation.

DR JOSE it took all of my self control NOT to use some colorful language, but it was CLOSE......

And of course things continue today.....I went to Blockbuster....arrived at 10:20....20 minutes after their opening time posted on the front door....to find it locked.....no note on the door, people walking around inside.  I waited a few minutes.....everyone looked and then kept doing whatever they were doing....

Was going to check out their used Blu Rays....but I guess not today.

TOD:  While I like long walks,  I am not the outdoorsy type.  My idea of roughing it is staying in a hotel that doesn't leave a mint on the pillow or have a sanitary wrapper on the toilet seat.

I'm up and have been since the workers started their noise ninety minutes ago.  Bad this week so far.  And working the side of the house that literally is inches from the property line of my house - you'd think there would be laws about how close you can get, but there are no laws for stuff like this - people can just do what they please, people's privacy be damned.

Of course now that I finally got out of bed, all is much quieter.  I do notice that their cars are now elsewhere, but NOT where I suggested they be, which is, horror of horrors, about eight feet from where they were parking.

FJL, you didn't mention Glenn Slater's lyric for the Sister Act song I posted, The Life I Never Led - I'll credit him for both.

Back from the eye doctor. A slight change in my left eye and the right eye the same. We're increasing the power of the bifocal part much to my happiness.

Glasses are SO expensive.

And no sooner do I come back than I need to head back downstairs and start fixing lunch.

I'm also washing linens today, so a busy Tuesday morning for me.

I notice several of the videos I posted haven't been rated, and FJL didn't even mention the Sister Act song - is everyone seeing ALL of the videos?  I think you have to click on "more" as only three or so are on the linked page - or is there a different way to link to a full page?

I'm trying to link to Facebook but, following their instructions (on YouTube) for linking my google (gmail) account with my Facebook account, I don't see the buttons they say I should see (after signing in with my google account info) - I'm supposed to see something that says "link accounts" but I just get my account page and there's nothing there about linking accounts.
