Broken legs to Shayne.  And Shayne, look at everyone else's answers to the topic - I'm not asking about now - I'm asking about history.

Misread it

so the answer would be: Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music (My Fav), My Fair Lady & Camelot

and the movie would be The Sound of Music

Good morning, all, from Invalid Central! I have no idea what's going on with everyone this week, and I'll try to be au courant ASAP. I won't be online long: I'm waiting for Ron Raines to deliver my diabetes med Metformin and Vicodin and a muscle relaxant from the pharmacy, which my doctor called in last night.

Yesterday was another frustrating day: after dragging myself on Wednesday to the East Side, the damned lab still has not sent the x-rays to my doctor's office to let her see the results, and she's unhappy as well. I believe what I have is a really bad form of sciatica, and I suspect that Doctor Shibani is trying to ascertain if the Vitorin prescribed by my former doctor has precipitated muscle damage in my lower back to bring on the attack.

Onn Thursday night Ron brought over the pain meds from his last round of minor surgery and they've helped me, along with a dose of Nyquil, to actually get a good night's rest.

The high point yesterday was a wonderful visit from our DR Jose, who kindly ran several errands for me, including banking and a grocery run. I am so grateful to him  and Ron and all my friends who've offered to give some time to me. And that's where I am this morning.

As to all the DRs, I hope everyone is well. I see much activity going on so~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes to All DRs today for their travels, travails, and endeavors! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a good day, everyone!

Play reading vibes for DR MICHAEL S.

I don't think the Labourteaux brothers are related by blood.

Ditto for DR Michael Shayne.

I agree with you about the brothers, but I appreciate DR JoseSPiano finding that pic and posting it.

Good morning!

More heat, more humidity, no rain. (We had a 60% chance of rain yesterday and got nothing. There is a 30% chance today. We'll see.)

Thank you, DR ELmore, for keeping us posted on your health matters, and thanks to the friends of DR Elmore for assisting him in this way. I know the last time I was truly sick and couldn't get out, I was SO grateful for friends who brought me medicine and did some shopping for me. I'm certain DR Elmore is blessed to have such loving, loyal friends.

Good Morning to all

TOD-- Movies- GYPSY, A STAR IS BORN, A NEW LEAF, THE SUNSHINE BOYS

Gypsy -- the musical submitted and selected by one of our directors as one of our two musicals for the 2009-10 season ... a bit of trivia that no one was dying to know, so didn't and wouldn't ask ... just a FYI for this Sat. morning ... a gratuitous post, so to speak ...

With nothing on tap to review (should have some things next week), I'll have a weekend to myself. I'd really like to get a couple of Blu-rays watched out of the stack (maybe THE WILD BUNCH next), and I know in the DVD stack I'll be watching A SONG IS BORN with Danny Kaye that I've never seen (I think it's his only starring picture I've never seen).

I also have more VERONICA MARS now that I'm getting close to the end of the first season. There may be four or five more episodes left, but I'm not certain.

In know, I know, who is this Mz karen person and why is she wasting precious posting space with gratuitous nothings? ... I may be E and T from the posting at hand a bunch, but you'd be surprised how often I get on to read the notes and try to keep up with the posts ... a dreaded lurker, so to speak ...

Oh my, I do hope dear Lar gets well soon... no, make that immediately! Yes, that DR Jose is a sweetheart (based on my experience in NYC when he took a day of his time to walk Case and me around some of the sites -- and of course, introduced me to my first Levain...)

I've only seen the movie, never onstage -- so I'm interested to see if our little theatre can make it a hit here ....

(it was actually a substitute -- he had submitted Cabaret, but then found out the local college was bringing in the touring Cabaret -- and Murphy's Law -- two weeks before his production slot, so Gypsy it became ...)

Sadly, in LA no matter how good your friends are, most will not get in their motor cars and come and help take care of someone who's pulled a muscle or has the flu or whatever.  That's been my experience.

DR Michael S - RE: Printing to/via a photocopier - You should still need some sort of printer driver.  Was this the first thing you printed from your MacBook (to a photocopier)?

Did the photocopier come up in your listing of available printers? or did you just send it to print "generically"?  I know when I've had to pop into a Kinko's and print something from my MacBook, I've always had to select the proper printer/copier, as well as make sure I had a compatible printer driver.

I remembered that I also have not watched next week's NURSE JACKIE episode (provided Showtime on Demand is offering an early look as they have been doing since the show started). I'd like to watch either that or THE FASHION SHOW while I eat lunch.

I guess the workers are now working every Saturday.  Seven-fifteen hammering just enough to wake everyone up, then they stop.  I am going over there shortly because I've HAD it with these inconsiderate, disrespectful ASSHOLES.

And thus began the mysterious disappearance of BK.    ;D
