DR TCB - Wow!  Sad to say, I'm so jaded that I don't know what my reaction would have been, but I know that I would have started out very skeptically.       :-\

"The Naked Cowboy" plans to run against Mayor Bloomberg on a platform of "bringing transparency to a whole new level."

Today was obviously better than yesterday.  There's another little annoyance that's been nagging at me, an old annoyance I've spoken of previously, and I just think I really need to put that away once and for all.  Trying to be a good guy isn't always the best way to go, I guess, because some just abuse it and take advantage.  I'm supposed to see a reading of a play in an hour but I just don't know if I'm up for it or not.  We'll see, I guess.

Thank you DR Ginny.

I'm very pleased to read there is some improvement with John.  I'll keep him in my thoughts & send good vibes until he is safe.

Feel better vibes for DR MBarnum.

Btw, i saw a dvd tonight you probably would like. It's called The Other End of the Line. IT stars Jesse Metcalfe (the sexy gardner from Desperate Housewives).

It's sort of a bollywoodish movie. Yet americanized.  The female lead is indian. She works for Citibank in India and has an american name and talks with an american accent. She pretends she lives in San Francisco).

She works for the credit card division's stolen cards. And "meets" jesse metcalfe when he is one of her customers.

It's a romantic comedy and pretty funny. And you get to see a lot of indian culture. I definitely thought it was fun.

Good Evening!

Tonight's DR elmore report: Still no word from his doctor. Still no word from the x-ray lab. However, he was moving around a bit more today, and he was even able to get some proofing done too.  I stopped by for a few hours, and helped out with the proofing as well.

We also sang the Pledge of Allegiance each morning as well, but that's a story for another day.     :)

Sang?

I recall singing the Pledge of Allegiance too when I was in grade school.  However, I don't recall the tune at all.

It's not even anger, really - just a weird feeling I can't seem to shake easily.  Well, there might be a little anger, in that I'd like to kill the sons of bitches.  But just a little.

The fact of the matter is that you feel violated. My classroom got broken into many years ago, and though not much damage was done, I felt like a subtle kind of rape had occurred.

I am afraid that even Patrick Cassidy couldn't persuade me to sit through AIDA again.

Nor I, but his singing on the original ASSASSINS cast album was superb.

And many a gay man has seen Patrick Cassidy in LONGTIME COMPANION and the wonderful kiss he shares with Brent Barrett in that heartbreaking film.

I watched RAISING THE BAR when I went back downstairs. It was a good episode with two very poignant cases: good men in the wrong place at the wrong time who become victims of the system.

Then I took MARNIE off the shelf. I hadn't watched it in quite some time. Didn't really like it better than I ever have, but it's nice to see it with fresh eyes every couple of years. I have the original Collector's Edition release, and even though it is an anamorphic transfer, it looks pretty awful. I think the one in the Masterpiece Collection was a remaster and much improved from the one I have, but I wasn't going to buy all of those Universal/Hitchcock films again on DVD. I'll happily spring for them all again on Blu-ray, yes, even MARNIE.

Then I watched tonight's episode of TORCHWOOD - CHILDREN OF EARTH. Very exciting search and rescue operation. John Barrowman's nakedness was blurred out on the broadcast I watched. I assume it was across the network for all broadcasts, right?

I also watched the 15-minute follow-up show with the actors and creator commenting on the episode. Looking forward to Part 3 tomorrow.

Just a little addendum/correction to DR MattH's On TV Tonight!™ listing -

Tonight's episode of "NYC Prep" on Bravo was not the finale.  I think there are about three more episodes left.

Just reporting what TV GUIDE said about the episode. I don't watch the show, so that's all I have to go on.

Sadly, yes.  But it's going to be released on DVD next week. :D
