Jose? Elmore?

I just got back from the NYPL and I'm hoping George shows up to tell me when he can finish the bookcase job. I'm sorry!

And how was your weekend, DR Ron Pulliam? Did anything momentous occur in your neck of the woods? ;)

Thank you, and welcome back.

It was "momorable", thanks!  I appreciate the sentiment!!

I did laundry Sunday morning, and then I made a trip to CostCo and held my spending to a mere $167.

I spent $967 today. Not at Costco, though.

That would have bought a really nice camera.

While I waicted to go to lunch, I watched another episode of DOLLHOUSE. THis was a strange episode in which the PTB programmed five of the "Dolls" to attempt to break free of their home to get a better handle on their emerging personalities. Not my favorite episode from the series. Looks like they're trying to find their way to a different vibe for the show. The next episode (which I should be able to watch tonight) should tell a lot.

Lunch was an interesting experience with my first efforts toward correcting posture in settings apart from inside my home. Honeslt, the pain in my arm is significantly lessened! Amazing. (Fingers on right hanbd are still tender, sensitive, tingly, but I guess they're going to require healing from constant pain stimulation.)

When I got in from lunch, the Disney Blu-ray of EARTH had not arrived, so I watched THAT HAMILTON WOMAN. More than half a century removed from the propoganda aspects of the movie, it now plays as a grand showcase for Vivien Leigh. It's blatant how much Korda favors her in camera set-ups and in all the scenes she shares with others. Of course, she does get top billing and had just won the Oscar, so I guess it's understandable.

I listened to about 1/3 of the commentary, but I wanted to move on to the other bonus features: a half hour with Michael Korda talking about the film, a radio promo for the movie, and a trailer that titles the film LADY HAMILTON.

But the commentary is excellent, and I'll go back later and begin where I left off to hear it all.

Thanks! I've got my own fingers crossed that things continue to improve this radically in the upcoming days. I go back for the next appointment next Monday.

I'm going to hop off-line now to get today's work project written up. Then back down to finish the commentary and have an evening of leisurely viewing.

Just posted my first review for Blu-ray.com, of the audio BD of a Norwegian composer named Fred Jonny Berg.  I'm sure you're all very conversant with his work.  ;)

It's more convoluted for traditional BD's, as Blu-ray.com has a proprietary system for taking 1080p screen captures.  They sent me all the equipment but failed to send instruction manuals or one of the cables I needed, which made trying to figure everything out rather difficult.  But I got the last cable and got everything "assembled" correctly and have been taking screencaptures successfully (at least I think so), so I will be uploading a review of the charming Jon Dove opera Pinnocchio soon.  Even if you're not a big fan of opera, my hunch is you would all enjoy Pinnocchio.

Back from PT with some encouraging news. The therapist believes much of my pain is being produced by my abysmal posture, so I have some exercises to perform twice a day to help my body relearn proper stance and hopefully relieving pressure on the spinal column which is sending out shock waves to my arm.

He also gave me some suggestions about comfortable sleep positions to that I can hopefully sleep through the night. It will be really interesting to try it tonight.

Very good news, Matt!!

Interesting:  He is a son of Margaret L. Cavenaugh of Jonesboro, Ark., and Donald R. Cavenaugh of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and a stepson of Francis M. Cavenaugh."

Did his mom marry his father then his father's brother?

Just curious.

Well, when I got back from NYPL, I stopped in the basement and my note was still taped to George's door. Around 4, i went back the basement, George wan't there but my note was gone! Damn. I guess I am not getting the work accomplished tomorrow and I'm pissed that he didn't at least come to the apartment and check out what needs to be done.

I have to get ready for "the do."

Back from a very productive rehearsal with Crista and Alex Rybeck.  The latter is really helpful when trying to conceptualize medley, and we actually got done everything I wanted to today - two really significant medleys and what we hope will be her closing segment.  Tomorrow we'll start working through what she's already got and seeing where the new things fit within that.  It was fun.  And now, I'll just sit here like so much fish and wait for the dinner partay.  I don't remember what apartment number, but I suppose the person at the desk can tell me.
