Ginny was turned in Friday afternoon, and the kittens were born overnight. So they are pretty fresh.

Keith said "How old are they!" That really is fresh-lol.  How is Ginny doing?

Speaking of burgers, I had an Angus burger at McDOnalds today when I went there with best friend John for lunch. I'm not a fan of McDonalds' food, but if I have to have it, that's about the best burger they offer.

PT had good and anxious omoents. The good was a "laying on" hands massage/stretching activity that was so wonderful, so soothing I told the therapist that I thought I could fall asleep while he was stretching and massaging my spine. Sadly, in ten minutes it was over, and I was back to aching.

Usually PT hurts, I'm envious.   Tomorrow or the next day after the massage might show an improvement.

When I got in from lunch, I had received no review material today, so I have the day off. I decided to revisit a movie I've been wanting to rewatch all summer - THE DIVINCI CODE.

This is the DVD release; I didn't spring for the Blu-ray as the movie, while fine, isn't one I'd watch often enough to justify a new purchase. I did enjoy seeing it again.

He mentioned that an orthopedist may be my next step unless there is some notable improvement. This caused me some anxiety. It's only been TWO weeks, and we're already thinking about alternative methodology? I'm not sure my insurance company is ready to go for that yet.

Stay calm, these people often jump the gun.  How many weeks have you been scheduled for PT?

He gave me three more exercises to begin doing with the two I already had, and while I haven't done them since coming in from the session, I have to say my arm has hurt less today than it has in the past month.

I scanned through both ATWT and Y&R today. Nothing at all of interest with either one.

The dressing WAS goooood.

I found this memory/question online.

Quote
Does anybody remember Stats restaurant in Beverly Hills?
There were two locations ...one on Wilshire Blvd. near Doheny Dr.....the other on Pico near Palm Dr. They were around until the early seventies. I have memories of a char broiled burger they made and it was served on grilled garlic bread made on a sourdough french roll. I haven't found anything close to it since. The combination of flavors was outstanding...it came with their house 1,000 island and needless to say a memorable burger. Can anybody suggest a place to get something comparable?

I don't recall two locations.  I remember it was near Doheny, & I thought on Pico.  Do you remember the bread?

I got some early birthday presents today, and one of them will be my evening's viewing: the HD-DVD of CASABLANCA. I am so tickled to have this. The DVD looks smashing for the movie, so I can't imagine how much better the HD version is going to look (but I'll sure find out in a few hours!)

TOD

Best Burger – probably from Tommy’s (the Shack at Beverley and Rampart in LA). Humongous greasy patty smothered in chili and onions and served in a brown paper towel. Best enjoyed before sobering up.

Best Hot Dog – Munich, Germany – German Sausage wrapped in a “fresh from the oven” roll served al fresco at the Farmer’s market.

Hmmm, I wonder if this reflects the parenting style of their namesakes? ;D I think I was too protective at times.  How about you DR Ginny?

I find this exciting.  Casablanca is the only film we have purchased on DVD.  I'm looking forward to your response on the HD version.

The assistant minister at our church when Rob was little observed that he was on a tether - sometimes a long tether - but a tether nonetheless.   And when Rob and Richard and I were watching people rappelling down Devil's Tower in Wyoming, Rob (then age 11) said,  "That's the kind of thing that when I do it you don't want to know until it's over.  Right, Mom?"  Right.

I talked to the guy today who reported the bear sighting last week.

He was walking along the trail when he thought he saw a large dog walking ahead of him, in the same direction (to his great relief).  As soon as he realized it was a bear he turned around and went the other way.  His little dog was on a leash and his larger dog was behind him & never saw the bear.

He thinks it is the adolescent cub from this spring, now weighing 200-250 pounds at about double the size of Sherlock.  I totally forgot to ask him what time of the day he saw the bear.  Everyone says it is too late when I walk, however I see this guy on a semi-regular basis.

I met up with the guy in the parking lot on his way home after his walk.  Another couple came out behind him, scared off by the warning sign.  They recently moved to Ashland, not too far from me & weren't thrilled to hear about all the wildlife by us.

I found it exciting to talk to the guy who saw the bear.  On the upside, I haven't seen anymore scat since Friday.

Made some pasta with butter and cheese, which I've been craving.  As soon as I finished my first helping, the phone rang and someone wanted to go have lunch.  Go know.  We'll try to do it tomorrow, after I ship, but now there may be a prob with the discs arriving - a machine went down and they asked if they could come Wednesday morning instead.  I said that would be problematic since I've already hired someone to come tomorrow to help.  So, they'll call me back, but they're going to try and have CDs here by noon instead of their original arrival time of nine.  Noon will be fine, so hoping they get it together.

I've been wondering if reading HHW can be hazardous to one's health. ;D

There are quite a few of us who are under the weather.

The pain is better having rested the past two days.

It was tolerable, but around 1pm it was very hard to get around and pain meds were not helping. I left early and went to my doctor's appointment.

I will see him again on Friday and hope there is improvement, I just might work half days if the pain increases during the day.
