I recorded the HBO movie Grey Gardens earlier today and just finished watching it.  It was much better than I thought it would be. I really liked it

DR Cillaliz - I saw the HBO Grey Gardens when Richard and I were in Wisconsin in the spring and I liked it, too.

Good Evening!

I had a very nice time at The National Zoo.

I had a very nice walk through Adams Morgan.

I had a very nice walk through Dupont Circle.

I had a very nice walk through Georgetown.

I had a very nice walk up and down "The Exorcist" stairs.

I had a very nice walk across the Key Bridge from DC into Virginia.

And then I had a very nice "sit down" as I rode the Metro from Rosslyn out to Vienna (VA).

Whew!

I forgot to mention earlier that while I was waiting to go to lunch this morning, I watched the last three episodes of LIE TO ME from the Blu-ray set. I enjoyed the series but I won't be adding it to my regular viewing schedule in the coming season. If I get the set next year, I'll watch it just as I did these episodes this year.

Yep, I know the feeling.  Right now, I'm trying not to think about the fact that my DS is on the road to his girlfriend's parents' house in Michigan.  He left Cincinnati when he got off work at 8pm and it's a 5 or 6 hour drive.

I skimmed through today's ATWT. Luke, Noah, and Mason were all on today, and it was the set-up for their upcoming triangle story arc.

I watched today's OLTL next. Fish was on, but it had nothing to do with his personal life story plot. Maybe they'll get back to that on tomorrow's show.

No splurge. We went to Burger King since it's my favorite fast food place. Really enjoyed it today since I hadn't had it in a long time.

I didn't bake myself anything today. I thought I'd look at cakes already done at the grocery store tomorrow, and if I didn't see anything I liked, then I'll make one tomorrow.

Next I watched PERFECT STRANGER, that Halle Berry/Bruce WIllis mystery from a year or two ago. I recorded it last night on FX-HD. Not a great mystery (Berry had some really poor acting moments) but I'm glad I finally got it checked off my list of movies to watch.

I finished up my evening of viewing by watching the Helen Hayes/Bette Davis version of MURDER WITH MIRRORS. I've been going back through Bette Davis' second book of memoirs, and she mentions that this was the first film she made after surviving a mastecomy and stroke. Certainly you could tell she was struggling to get lines out and she sometimes seems not a part of the scene, rather disoriented.

This weekend I may pull out Helen Hayes' other Miss Marple film - A CARIBBEAN MYSTERY and rewatch it.

I also got a couple of Blu-rays for gifts today, and they'll also get watched over the weekend. Right now, I plan to take at least Saturday off and maybe Sunday, too, depending on what arrives in the mail.

I forgot to mention that I watched the extended GLEE pilot tonight, too, which I had recorded on the DVR. Loved the show even more the second time around, and I thoroughly enjoyed the new Matthew Morrison "Leavin' on a Jet Plane" which had been inserted.

I believe the announcer said the show begins its new season next Wednesday night, so I can't wait to see new episodes.

While riding the Metro today, I saw a visually-impaired man with a cane get on the train...  He was wearing a uniform... "Pentagon Maintenance Staff"... Truly made me think... Hmmm... ???

...so it was actually calorie and fat gram friendly.  Then chicken (but dark meat only - not my fave), candied walnuts...

Candied walnuts are not calorie and fat gram free!

I Love Big Brother Department:  I have received an email from the FBI alerting me to the fact that I am owed 7.5 million dollars, and that this sum has already cleared the Department of Homeland Security.
