I believe I'll go tell the oafs it's a holiday weekend and thanks very much for the ruder than rude Saturday morning wake-up call.

And if he doesn't return, we know where the body is buried!

I'm off to the grocery store, so I can be back and have dinner (I'm thinkin' pork roast) started before Michigan's 3:30pm kick-off.

Bye for now!

I'm awake, and here on HHW first thing!

TOD - Splash Mountain at Disneyland.  While I enjoy the version at Walt Disney World, I enjoy the Disneyland version better.  I do like a good coaster also, however, coaster design somehow doesn't permit for large people.

And so I begin my Labor Day weekend with labor. Gotta cut the lawn

It is DS Zach's birthday today (not to be confused with DAW's DD Zach, though my hunch is they often behave the same).  :)

TOD: I'm sure my first ride was at Enchanted Island in Encanto Park (which DR Kerry will certainly remember).

He will also remember Legend City, which, although it was in walking distance of my house, I only went to once or twice.

My favorite rides are at Disneyland, where I haven't been in years. We used to take the kids quite a lot, though.

We had a very small amount of sprinkles, and now I think the storm has passed us.

DR Laura, the kittens are just adorable!

DAW, you have given me many hearty chuckles this morning!

Now I am off to do laundry and some house cleaning before heading to south Salem for to have lunch with my buddy Mustafa.

Thank you all for your comments on the kittens. They will truly be adorable at about five to six weeks old.

Has one seen the "restored" video/blu ray release of Gulliver's Travels (1939) From the Fleischer Studios?

How good is this restoration?

Shayne, the Gulliver's Travels on Blu-Ray is, by all accounts, the single worst Blu-Ray in existence and no better than a public domain (which it is) copy on DVD.

If you are having trouble waking up this Saturday morning, just give this a watch...it will perk you right up! It makes the Village People look like Lawrence Welk.

DR ELMORE is correct, I think this play is an audience pleaser....  Last night's audience laughed even more and louder and longer....

Officer Brophy remembered his blackjack....we had NO scene change music in Act Two or Act Three....oh well.  We have less than 10 tickets left for the show tonight, so that is good news.

Thanks to everyone for the vibes and good wishes.

Jrand, I am sorry I missed wshing you a successful opening night.  My apologies.  It is indeed an audience pleaser.  Continued success!

The restoration is quite good, actually.  What spoils the release is the incredibly stupid decision to crop the original 1.33:1 image to 1.78:1, making it "widescreen."  I believe I posted about this when it came out--I actually have no problem with them doing that, for the people who want their widescreen tv's "filled up" (though it's funny to remember just a few years ago, quite the opposite was true--standard tv owners complaining about black bars and such), but why they didn't also include the OAR version is beyond me.  The BD does also have some Fleischer short subjects on it.

I am changing my name to "Kittens."

Then we would all have to change our posts.

Question for those using iTunes to upload CD's and such:  When you have a CD with two "albums" included (such as The Apartment/The Fortune Cookie), do you split the upload into two separate albums? (by changing titles and such).  It would make for easier access I would think....

The nice thing about getting up early is that I had a chance to open the doors/windows/drapes for a few hours before it started to get hot.   But not at 10:00 I'm back in my cave.

Off to errands.

My favorite rides are at Disneyland

Growing up, my favorites were the Matterhorn, the Haunted House, the Pirates of the Carribean, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.       :)
