elmore, the session has been easy as pie and everyone is very happy with everything so far.  The cello is very pretty - played by Vinnie's gal pal, Stefanie Fife.

And will Stefanie Cello be playing the fife?

I wish I'd seen the GLEE pilot. I'm sorta enjoying the show tonight. Is his wife really a bitch? Why does the butch dyke dislike him so much? I like the Swingle Singer interludes.

Good Evening!

For any DRs who happen to be in the NYC area, I highly recommend the about-to-be-open-to-the-public exhibition at MoMA, "Monet's Water Lilies".  It's a mini-exhibition: one big room, four walls, six canvasses (two large paintings and four smaller paintings), and a big comfy couch in the middle of the room.  I'm glad I stumbled upon it today. Since it was the first Member Preview day, there was no real crowd which made it very easy to take the whole exhibition in in its 360 glory.

Mum watched the GLEE pilot this morning and really liked it.

I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's episode.

Keith is going through his mother’s photo album and finding wonderful photos for his ancestry site.  He also came across a photo and asked if I knew who it was, response Me.  Funny he had to ask.  The first thing noticeable in the photo are the extremely oversized glasses I’m wearing.  The photo looks like it is of a 16 year old & the glasses, hair & top don’t fit the time period of when I was 16..  Looking closer I noticed the top was from when I was pregnant with Bryan, no wonder my hair was long, wavy & brunette instead of blond.  On closer inspection (the date on the photo) I was pregnant with Craig. :o  I was 30 in the photo.

So, Craig is only fourteen?

The math confused me too.  ;)

Since it has been so quiet I will use this time to whine.  I hope I have allergies and am not coming down with a cold.  Since I fear it is the latter I went around the house & the car disinfecting anything Keith might touch that I have touched.

DR Jane - Just make sure you don't kill all the good germs in the process.

Well, it's time for me to leave work.  I set my DVR to record "Glee" just in case I don't make it home in time, but it's not on until 9:00, so I have plenty o' time.

Until later!

LOL, I'm sure I didn't kill that many germs.  I'm hoping only enough so Keith doesn't get sick.  He has to do yard work while I can pamper myself.

Thanks for the vibes.

DR elmore - Since you have an "older" system - and Tiger - it's usually "safest" to not do anything else while the file is downloading.  Start the download before you go to bed.

Additionally, if your internet connection tends to "stutter", then that can cause download issues with iTunes, but iTunes should correct that stuttering if you let it continue to download.

Any thought on Ellen Degeneres replacing Paula Abdul on "American Idol"?

She seems too smart to me for the show. But, then, the day Paula left the show, it's intelligence level rose. Actually, I have no opinion; I don't care enough about the show.

I didn't feel as strongly for the second episode of GLEE as I did for the pilot. Perhaps that's partly due to the two rap songs in the episode. Still, I know they're trying to hit all musical styles, and I have to just accept it. The plot with the wife is pretty distasteful; she's SO not worthy of this wonderful, caring man, and one hates seeing him being duped week after week.

Back from the session, which would have ended a half-hour earlier had our darling dearest elmore not written the cello part from HELL for It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, going from pizzicato to arco with nary a second for changing, and runs more difficult than my long jog.  Stefanie got through it, though, but it took quite some time.

I began my evening by rewatching a favorite documentary - ON CUKOR, an American Masters program that's superb. I watched all of the program, and then there were some added bonus interviews that weren't included in the actual documentary but that were on the disc as extras. I watched all of them, too.
