I would always be happy with another solo album from either of my favorite singers:  Liz Callaway and/or Jason Graae.   Or even a duet album featuring them both!!

Liz Callaway has a new CD coming out in October on another label...but not that label. But there was an article on Playbill.com from September of last year announcing that it was going to be released...and it's now FINALLY coming out in October of this year.

In person, the concept car -- overseen by Bugatti exterior designer Achim Anscheidt -- is stunning. It's a little larger than the Bentley Continental GT, with broad, scalloped flanks rolling into the front wings, all in polished aluminum, and the remaining bodywork is fabricated out of tinted carbon fiber. The structural chassis will be aluminum and carbon. Schreiber says the car will be lighter than any comparable four-door car, but what car he might be thinking of escapes me.

The fastback rear design strongly evokes the Type 57 SC Atlantic with a slight raised spine limned in LED, the curvature of the trunk lid opening echoing the Atlantic's trunk lid, and the quad exhausts -- two sets, for a total of eight tailpipes.

The interior is similarly spectacular, with a burled walnut surfboard-like console running between the front and rear cabin. There are only two instruments in the dash -- a speedo and tach. In front of the driver is an LCD screen with a kind of iPhone interface, allowing drivers to leaf through applications.

Sugar-free-gum-and-snacks-can-be-deadly-for-pets

Most pet owners know that chocolate is a big no-no for dogs. But here's something to chew on: a common ingredient in sugarless gum and snacks can cause a canine catastrophe.

The culprit is a sweetener called xylitol. While you may never have heard of it, there's a good chance you have it in your house. Xylitol is common in sugarless gum and in sugar-free snacks, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Cases of xylitol poisoning in dogs have increased in recent years as the sweetener has been added to lots of new foods, Sharon Gwaltney-Brant, vice president of the ASPCA's Animal Poison Control Center, told Paw Nation. "There definitely has been an increase in the exposures of dogs to xylitol over the last several years, simply because there's more xylitol out there."

A little xylitol goes a long way. Just two sticks of sugarless gum can be fatal for a 20-pound dog, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune, and a single sugar-free pudding cup can spell trouble for a 90-pound pooch. But those numbers can be misleading, Gwaltney-Brant cautions. Some brands of gum or candy contain no xylitol, while others contain relatively large amounts. Even within a single brand, the level of xylitol can vary from flavor to flavor and batch to batch, she says.

I had time this morning to watch an NCIS episode before I headed off to PT. It was a grisly episode where "meat puzzles" were being sent to Ducky finally figuring out that he was next in line to be killed and disected. Nice surprise ending. This was the episode where a very aged Nina Foch play David McCallum's mother.

I got to meet my "new" therapist at PT today. She kept me longer than I've ever seen kept before, but she did some good stretching, etc. I have felt better this afternoon and haven't needed any ibruprofrin (yet). She signed me up for three more sessions, the next one on Friday of this week.

Went to lunch with best friend John and had a good time talking about GLEE which he only got around to watching last night. He really liked the second episode as much as the pilot (which I didn't). Still, it's always nice to find a show we can both look forward to watching and then talking about. Our other regulars, '24' and LOST don't come back on until 2010.

The roofer arrived about three minutes after I got home from lunch (he was 20 minutes early - bless him). Quoted a price I could live with (will be eating bread and water for the next three months) and the work starts tomorrow morning! Yay!

I had planned to take the afternoon off since it looked like the roofer's inspection/estimate visit would eat up too much time to get MONTEREY POP watched. However, he was gone by 2:15, so that left me plenty of time to watch the film on Blu-ray (looks nice but it was never a dazzling film pictorially) and listen to quite a bit of the commentary track, too.
