DR Druxy - please forgive my ignorance, but just what the heck IS a "book trailer"?

It's a commercial for a book, rather than a movie or TV show.

I hear them on the radio all of the time, and now they're being done as videos.

I think than mine is going to be quite a bit different than the norm.  When it's finished, which should be in early October, I will post the YouTube link.

Well, we're certainly on our way to the lowest posting day ever.  Congratulations to those who've helped us achieve this monumental moment.

If DR Ginny and Richard are still pondering their theatre going for the week of Oct 24, then THE ROYAL FAMILY is the thing to see. It's absolutely glorious! I went backstage with Bruce Pomahac to see Rosemary Harris after the show, and she's absolutely wonderful as Fanny Cavendish, mother of the Barrymore Cavendish acting clan. Jan Maxwell plays the role Rosemary played 35 years ago on Broadway, namely Ethel Barrymore, who did not like her portrait in the comedy, although John enjoyed his alter ego Tony Cavendish. It is very well staged by Doug Hughes and acted in the grand manner by one and all in the large cast.

After that some wonderful salmon and roasted veggies at Orso. What a great way to end turning 63!

I'm watching Mad Men, Season Two - I'm just curious why they never felt it necessary in episode one to spell out that we were suddenly in 1962 and over a year has gone by since the end of season one.  If I hadn't read online about the time jump, I'm not sure I'd have known until they talked about The Defenders.

Thank you for the recommendation, DR Elmore!  I plan to get back to NYC planning tomorrow - had to set it aside last week when I was so busy with meetings, etc.  We have time, I think, for 1 more show - Thursday or Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon.

Well, tonight will be the Emmy Awards, so I'm sure that posting will pick up once they start.  No spoilers for the left coast, please!

Right now, I'm off to my sister's to assemble a bar stool for her.  I assembled one a couple of days ago, and it was fairly easy to do.

Be back later...certainly before the Emmys start. :)

If you are actually having an Emmy Party, how do you figure it will be the lowest posting day ever?

Mere coinky-dink that this copy is in INDIANA, where a certain DR purchases things for "investment value"?  :)

The shoot for the book trailer went very well.  The studio had been booked for four hours, but we were able to complete what we needed to do in just over an hour.

Well, we've had Emmy partays before and unfortunately they are not like our Tony and Oscar partays.  History has shown us that.  Maybe this evening will be different.  What time do the Emmys begin here on the Coast that's West?  I may watch - I haven't watched an Emmy broadcast since Jane Krakowski was first on Ally McBeal.
