In lieu of watching FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER I instead watched THIS REBEL BREED starring Mark Damon, Kenny Miller and Rita Moreno. Pretty good filim, for what it was, dealing with ethnic strife in high school. Lots of location shooting in LA around 3rd St. I am guessing that is not so nice an area as some of it looked a bit run down and the building were all quite old, older then what I am used to seeing in the Hollywood area.

Also found a new favorite actor, Don Eitner. He is now an artist and has his own website.

The Flea Market was what I expected, too many people and Roseland is dark and dank! I have never been before. I hope they don't decided to move it there permanently. There is no expectation that they will but anything can happen.

I got a nice bag full of Little Mermaid stuff for my niece for Christmas and I saw some friends. I left about 40 minutes after arriving though because it was just too crowded.

Good Morning! Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And it's been a good day so far. I think last night was one of those rare nights where I'm pretty sure I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.  I opened my eyes around 10:00 this morning, checked things out on the interwebs via my iPhone, then listened to "Wait, Wait.. Don't Tell Me" at 11:00 on WNYC... Then I got out of bed.  Aahhh... :)

DR Ben - Isn't Roseland bigger than Shubert Alley? Alas, Roseland is not set up for "good lighting".

I've always just wondered why BC/EFA doesn't work out some sort of deal with the Marriott Marquis and move some of their Shubert Alley-based events to one of the ballrooms there.  Things would be ever so much roomier - hopefully.

I don't mind crowds, however, what I do mind is fire hazards, and whenever I slog through the crowds in Shubert Alley during the Broadway Flea Market or Broadway Barks, well... I really am sort of amazed that no one has been seriously injured over the past couple of years during those events.

I was thinking of heading down to the Broadway Flea Market today - I have a bunch of friends manning the tables today, but, frankly, I just want to stay put today in my apartment. There's laundry to do, pictures to edit, emails to sends and TV show to watch and/or DVR and watch later.  -And thus it will be. ;)

I seem to be full of energy this morning! And can't quite decide what project to tackle first.

Does your "project" have a name?

Thank God. The world is so much safer now that Roman Polanski is in custody.

13 year old girls might be.

I agree if he returns to this country he should be arrested, he broke the law & shouldn't get a break because of who he is.  I am shocked that after all this time we requested he be arrested by a different government, and that they obliged.  Even the woman who was the 13 year old girl has requested this be dropped.

I was amazed at the number of news updates on this story in my Twitter feed this morning. If he wasn't a "celebrity", would there have been this much fuss after all of these years?

Jose - I just saw the photos of Monkey in a cup at the Vendy's.  Very photogenic!

:)

Hopefully, I'll be able to go through the pictures I took at The Vendys, and get some more posted later today.

There were a couple of "celebrity chef" sightings. "Top Chef Masters", Anita Lo, was there with her "Rickshaw Dumpling Truck" crew, and I managed to snap this iPhone pic with frequent "Top Chef" guest judge, Mr. Chocolate himself, Jacques Torres.

How could you not watch FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER?

Have you no interest in Great Cinema?

Here's one last YouTube parody before I head into the Oct. 15th tax return preparation season: :)

A new parody video catching up from spring 2009 - link to YOU'RE SCARING US -

parody of AQUARIUS re the HAIR audience participation  (sung by the wonderful Leenya Rideout)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQQnN5liEAw

If they're reading this:  Apologies to Will Swenson for my misspelling his name in the sing-along lyrics, and to Gavin Creel because a great shot of him had to get cut!   :)

Thanks if you have time to watch, and please pass the link around if you like it,

So...

For reasons unknown, I'm watching the Matthew Broderick "Music Man" on Ovation.  It was bad the first time I saw it, and it's even worse now.  It's just like cheese: some improve with age, while others just rot.

Hmmm...

They keep showing clips from the original Broadway run of Sweeney Todd, but I don't think that's Mr. Cariou nor Ms. Lansbury in those clips. But, still... OH! Those clips!

I have abandoned Toyland and returned home. I'm currently watching Alec Mapa's one man show. Rude but very funny.
