Good morning, all! Greetings from Toyland. I overslept this morning and I needed to be at Toyland by 10 am, so I got up at 8:30, read yesterday's posts, and got myself down here as quickly as possible. I've had my meds, my breakfast, downloaded the unreleased BABES IN TOYLAND into my office computer,  and I'm ready to get to work on OH, BOY!, which is a bit of a nightmare.

Speaking of nightmares, last night I had dreams of being back at The Drama Book Shop and being cast in Harold Prince's production of CANDIDE, which was 1972 and I didn't begin working at the book shop until July 1979. God knows where all that originated. I cannot blame the vicodin any longer.

I'll be here until around 2 or 3 today. After that, I'll probably watch the last half of the 2nd ghost story on the Netflix disc. I have to say that none of these stories on SHADES OF DARKNESS is particularly alarming; I want to see PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and be terrified.

Jose - I just saw the photos of Monkey in a cup at the Vendy's.  Very photogenic!

DR Jane (and others) re: the comments last night about why don't i splurge and buy my favorite author's book.

Well ideally obviously I would. But I read a lot and get all my books from the library. In the case of the book she is signing it is book 13 (or something like that) in a series (i have read them all but don't own the others).

In this economy, even though i love to read. i'm fine with being able to read all the books i want (just having to return them to the library when i'm done).

I understand why you use the library instead of purchasing, in fact I'm using the library more and more these days.  I just think it would be nice for you to have an autographed copy since she is your favorite author.  It might be too late to find one at a used book store, still I would call a few a check if you have them nearby.

Thank God. The world is so much safer now that Roman Polanski is in custody.

13 year old girls might be.

I agree if he returns to this country he should be arrested, he broke the law & shouldn't get a break because of who he is.  I am shocked that after all this time we requested he be arrested by a different government, and that they obliged.  Even the woman who was the 13 year old girl has requested this be dropped.

The Polanski thing is a sorry joke - is there nothing better that can be done with our time and money than this?  The girl has forgiven him and does not wish him to go through this.  Enough already.

While murderers, rapists, and child molesters (I'm talking about CHILD - like under ten) walk the streets freely right here at home.

In fact, I thought she made only one mis-step and that was starting with Skylark, which is a difficult song and a strange opener

Reading BK's notes first thing this morning, all my un-caffeinated brain could read was Meadowlark, instead of Skylark.  I kept trying to figure out if I had known that Johnny Mercer and Stephen Schwartz had ever worked together.

I only lasted about 30 minutes with GENGHIS KHAN last night.

I am watching BEACH PARTY right now - again.  TCM has a nice print of it, and Dorothy Malone is so lovely....the songs are okay....but Bob Cummings????  His transformation from stuffy professor - when he shaves his beard and everyone is acting how much younger he looks...and so handsome....  Well, it was about the same when he played his own grandfather on his tv show.  Looks about the same...old!

Happy Sunday.   :)

Till Monday night.

Massive amounts of paperwork to do.  So no cd's, dvd's, or internet for me.
