I remember the other Warners movies starting right away, but I never tried to navigate away from them back to the menu and no disc I have ever owned, be it DVD or Blu-Ray has ever had seven minutes of disclaimer warnings at the end of a disc - SEVEN minutes in every language imaginable.

It's a helpful bit of knowledge to know, especially since the older Warners Blu-rays don't always default to the best audio track. (The Harry Potters nor the Batman films don't; they default to lossy DOlby DIgital instead of uncompressed PCM or lossless Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA.)

I just use the "pop-up menu" button on my remote, and all those options on the WB blu-rays appears; including THE WIZARD OF OZ.

Some remotes call it "Pop-Up Menu." Some call it "Top Menu." The PS3 has THREE menu buttons so one is almost always going to work!

Now I guess I'll head downstairs having finished my morning internet surf. I need to get back to THE UNIT and see what new missions they're going to send me on.

The girl on NCIS LOS ANGELES is the weak member of the team, acting wise, for my money.  So I don't know if her character is or not.....maybe they don't know how to write for her....but she is certainly no Zima.

Jonathan Edwards on the pinano.

THE ROAD BUILDER/NIGHT DIGGER was most entertaining last night.  Mr Bernard Herrmann's score was the second best part of the movie.  Introducing Mr Nicholas Clay did indeed divest himself of his clothes twice.....once completely to commit a murder....and a second time to his undies to entice Miss Patricia Neal (it worked).

The budget for BLACK SHIELD OF FALWORTH included a $25,000 fee to 20th Century-Fox which I assume was for a CinemaScope license or equipment.

Today is the last day of September, as noted in the notes.

And Mercury turns direct today after about six weeks - so communications issues will be improved and purchase of large appliances and electronic equipment can happen without fear.

On Christmas Eve, 1955, there was a flood in Yuba City, California.  Two months later, on February 25, 1956, Walt Disney sent the Mouseketeers and other staff members to town for a special belated Christmas celebration.

Yeah, my Pansonic has them all, too.
But, the first blu-ray I played was THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD or HOW THE WEST WAS WON, so I learned quickly how to navigate a Warner disc.

I am at the end of the grace period because I had to fork out $3000 last month for estimated IRS and state income tax. There's no way with my current debt from being down a month that I could hand out an addtional $2000+ for health insurance. I honestly thought I would be paid by now for the recording.

At one time I was a member of a Yahoo Group that was run by a man who was scanning all of his issues of AFTER DARK magazine.  These came from the 70's and 80's.

I just saved the emails in GOOGLE and finally last weekend - I finally put all of the images in a folder and then saved them to a disk.  It was fun to see all the photos again.  It was a different time.  It isn't a complete run, but it does have some interesting pictures and interviews.

You should see what he does for Miss Sylvia Kristel in "Lady Chatterley's Lover" as gamekeeper Oliver Mellors!

I believe there's an IV with a certain unnamed Seattle "journalist" in one of those.

I am galloping from one crisis to another this morning. When I went in to brush my teeth, I found plaster chips all over the floor and toilet, and when I looked up, the bathroom ceiling above the toilet was dark and wet from a leak. That meant finding the super, who takes care of four buildings on the block for my cheapass landlord, and getting him to look at the problem. Of course, the tenant above me isn't home so we have no idea if the leak is in his bathroom, which is most likely. I do  not want the ceiling to fall in today. Although it's certainly a metaphor for my life at the moment.
