Oh I didn't mention the space is about 2 1/2 times bigger than what we have now.  The building manager even offered to put in a kitchen for us, lol. Maybe with some creative window coverings we could get the light without too ugly of a view.  Hmmm.

I think I'll go to bed. I'm reading Son of a Witch and didn't get much sleep last night.  We had hail and hail and heavy rain on a slate roof is not a quiet event.

RLP, feel free to post about it on the FSM board - the more the merrier.  Happily, it's almost sold out now at Screen Archives - they took a huge number of them and I was concerned it wouldn't sell out, but it's very close now.

The first scent of the neighborhood fireplaces is in the air.  Maybe the summer heat is over in LA.  Yea.  ;D

I wanted to just move into the space next to me until I talked to the neighbor on the other side who said the bathroom they added was right next to his office and he heard the current lessee telling his wife to leave him alone he was pooping....that's just not quite sound proof enough for me, lol

Good Evening!

A few weeks ago, I met another pianist who happens to be quite the foodie - and a True Foodie at that!  Tonight, we headed out to Flushing for some pretty frickin' amazing Chinese food. -From the Qingdao (or Tsingtao) province to be exact.

I'd go into descriptions of what we had, but, at this late hour, I think the PICTURES will have to do for now.

I haven't heard anything from my parents, so... I'm presuming everything is all right.  When we were there this past summer, we had arrived after some major storms.  In fact, my Dad spent the first few days back in his hometown wading through knee-deep water.  So, I'm guessing everything is all right.  They may be having "water issues", but it's nothing they haven't dealt with on a regular seasonal basis before. -Again, I guess.  I'll check in with my parents tomorrow.

-I don't mean to seem so blasé about the current situation in the Philippines and Sumatra, but I have also checked the areas that were affected by the typhoons, and it looks like my relatives were in the less-affected area.  In fact, I didn't see my Dad's hometown on the list, and the area that my Mom's family lives in Manila is part of the "high ground".

I also liked The New York Times' "Glee" Watch today:

‘Glee’ Watch: Upstaged by Kristin Chenoweth

YES!  The NY Times also questioned the suitability of the Carrie Underwood number for a high school ensemble.  I don't feel so fogey-ish any more.

I really liked the "mercy rule". ;)

OK, DRs.  We have a fellow DR in need.  I heard from DR Jeanne.  She just learned today that on Monday she will have to have a second ultrasound and a possible biopsy.

She said that she isn't really feeling up to getting on this here site at the moment, but that any ~~~VIBES~~~ offered by her fellow DRs would be most appreciated.

And she didn't ask, but I'm sure she'd appreciate a HHW PM, too, if you feel so inclined.

~~~SUPER VIBES FOR DR JEANNE!!~~~
