Well tomorrow is the day I hope to finalize the big move.

I had hoped to wait to tell my 'friend" about my decision until after it was final, but he stopped by today wanting to look at more space, so I told him.  He acted a bit shocked and said "Well it is a really nice space" lol, that's not what he said when we looked at it.   He also told me any time he has tried to share office space it's been a disaster, but he was willing to give it a shot.  Glad I said no.

Anyway, I think I did the right thing talking to the building manager on Saturday.  I hope we can reach an agreement tomorrow and get a lease signed.

Good luck tomorrow DR Cilla!!  At least you don't have to worry about telling your friend, I don't think you will share one with him now whatever happens.

Wow---lots of news and great links!

Today was my first day not to have a "day job" in many months. After the Mercer film, which is STILL going on, but with my asst. editor, I went back to The Closer and after that rolled right into launching a new TNT show starring Ray Romano. We worked for several months on spots to test different marketing techniques for that show. Now that that's done, I may be down to one job a day until Closer cranks back up. So now I'm able to have a life, get some exercise, do my taxes, get teeth cleanings for all the cats as well as myself, and maybe finally get a new pair of glasses. (I've been overdue for months.) And finally, start catching up with HHW, which will include ordering the Woody Allen CD. Yay!

The Ray Romano show is still being tweaked but I think it's going to be a great show. It also stars Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher. It's funny, poignant and dark with great performances by all the guys. It's called "Men of a Certain Age". It will premiere in December when The Closer comes back for the last 3 episodes of the season. Watch for it!

I missed you guys!

A very happy birthday to former DR Jenny!

Just repeat that one tomorrow for mine, OK?  :)

Welcome back, Edi!  Romano does have a very appealing (if that's the right term) darkness in his performances.  I had to review some indie film whose name escapes me (though I remember it had a cool cameo by Richard Riehle, DS Betsy's childhood neighbor and babysitter!) where he played a suicidal jingle composer.  He was great in that.

Glad to have you back, DR Edi. Glad to know you're back with THE CLOSER, and I'll be sure to sample the new show (though Scott Bakula will be more of a lure for me than Ray Romano).

I'm also getting very excited about the upcoming trip to Wisconsin.  Callie is doing well, so there won't be problems with having the cat sitter take care of her.   We're driving through Harmony, MN and will go to the Great River Road and go to Lansing, IA before going across to Wisconsin and up to Viroqua.  The leaves should be in their prime, so it should be a lovely drive

And now I'm going to head down to bed (must do a little treadmill first; Couldn't walk today because it's been raining off and on all day long.)

Different strokes for Mad Men.  I thought it was the weakest episode of the entire series.  And, I must say, so did some friends of mine who are HUGE fans.

I will be glad when the lease is signed.  Then I will be able to shop for a few things I need  - including something wonderful I saw on clearence over the weekend but didn't want to buy before the ink is dry.  I'm hoping it will still be there tomorrow.
