And I ended my evening by watching, yet again, the Blu-ray of THE WIZARD OF OZ. I again watched it all the way through and just marveled at its color and magic. I never tire of it.

Now I guess I'm going to tidy up a few things in the office and then head downstairs to bed. I slept OK last night, but I'm looking forward to an even more comfortable night's sleep tonight.

Good night!

I am back from another performance of FR. The friends I thought I was meeting at the stage door didn't show so I stood around and watched the cast sign posters and programs. On my way home I stopped at McDonalds for a filet'o fish and caught the end of IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, a show I love because of its cast of completely moronic, repellent, irredeemable characters.

Today is the 20th anniversary of our first date.  In honor of that, I've arranged for a presentation on the giant screen at Radio City Music Hall of one of Skip's all-time favorite films (Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring) to be accompanied by a 300-plus-piece orchestra.  I've also arranged for there to be about 6,000 other audience members whom we don't know there tonight as well, just to provide some atmosphere; they've been instructed not to acknowledge   our anniversary, nor are they to sing the Flintstones' Happy Anniversary song.

Congrats and Happy First Date Anniversary, Fred and Skip!!

Topic of the Day:  I was never really a fan of the Beatles, so I don't have a favorite album.  However, there are some individual songs that I like:

Eleanor Rigby
Help
In My Life
Penny Lane
When I'm 64

Although (according to the article), "'there is a legislative process' and progress can't happen overnight," Obama reaffirms will end 'don't ask, don't tell.'

Yep! I was following the tweets from tonight's HRC Dinner in Washington, DC.  No timeline yet, but at least some more Hope.

And speaking of Twitter, the following incident occurred at tonight's performance of "Love, Loss & What I Wore" - Nora and Delia Ephron's new off-Broadway show:

Worst audience incident EVER at LL&WIW, woman sitting in the front row had a colostomy bag that broke and leaked onto the woman next to her.

So...

Apparently, my Dad has to go to traffic school tomorrow.  However, it's not related to the accident they were in last Tuesday... Nor is it related to another subsequent moving violation.  Hmmm...

-At least we're all laughing about it.

And how was the show tonight, DR elmore? Did those two bits of magic reappear? And how was the audience? And the cast (on their first two-show day)?

DR MBarnum - The next time you come to New York City, I think you need to hail the cabbie we had last night, Ali Shadiq.  Since we had to travel from down in the East Village all the way up to Washington Heights, we had plenty of time to get to know him.  He was a blast!  Truly one of the best cab rides I've ever had.

Jose - That was an astonishing surprise, and there was a little added bonus of watching Howard Shore watch his music being performed by 300 musician mixed in with watching the show.
