Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

At least Nolan Funk will not get unanimous pans.  The Record said about the ATC-abused actor:

"Nolan Gerard Funk, meanwhile, adds a bit of spice to Birdie, who's usually a remote, vaguely drawn rock-and-roll menace to decent society.  Funk makes him distinctly unappetizing - wearing only Jockey shorts, he guzzles beer that runs slobbily down his body - heightening the joke of the mindless adoration of his young fans."

According to CNN, the kid's been found hiding in the attic. If I were his parents, he and his siblings would be grounded until they were 18.

I guess they wanted more 15 minutes of fame:

The child was identified as Falcon Heene, the son of Richard Heene, a Colorado weather-chaser. The boy and his family — mother, Mayumi, and brothers, Ryo and Bradford — first appeared on the ABC series "Wife Swap" on Oct. 3, 2008 and were voted back for the 100th episode of the show, which aired on March 13, 2009.

Human Again (Beauty and the Beast)

Added to the film re-release from the Broadway show; unfortunately they did not add back my favorite - If I Can't Love Her.

Off to see the musical version of The Glass Menagerie (by Nancy Ford and Mimi Turque, directed by Albert Marre, starring Anita Gillette and Jaspn Danieley) in the York's reading series.

When I first heard this story I thought "Didnt we see this in a Doris Day movie?" And then the local news flashed a pic of the balloon in the air with something falling from it and I was horrified.  It was a relief to hear he was found.  But did NBC really have to spend over five minutes on this as their lead story tonight?

Well, in my defense, this song was originally written for the movie and cut.  They added to the Broadway show, then added it back to the movie. :)

Some of my advanced eighth graders used to snicker when we read "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" when Mrs. Mitty reminds Walter not to forget his rubbers. [sigh] The world was once so much more innocent.

I think I was the only kid in the theater that didn't laugh during BYE BYE BIRDIE when Mrs. Peterson told Albert to be sure and pack his rubbers.

I guess you are too young, but Bert Kaempfert and his Orchestra had a lot of hit pop records in the United States during the Sixties.

The story of that kid and the balloon reeks of something or other.  Now the kid is saying he hid in the attic because his daddy scolded him.  WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN????  His DADDY SCOLDED HIM???  Oooh, that's terrible.  As I said in my rant of the other day, parenting is at an all time low and children are as well.  The daddy apologized to his child for scolding him, even though he was right to scold him - heaven knows we shouldn't scold our children when they do something wrong because if we do they might actually learn something.  That is, if any of this stupid story is true in the first place.  Shame on these people, shame on the parents and the children and shame on the media for being the first-class first-drawer jerks they are.  Drop 'em all on an island, like Lost, and let them feed on each other until there's nothing left.  And if you'd like to know how I REALLY feel, just ask.

The family are idiots who were on WIFE SWAP twice.  They were my second least favorite family ever featured on that show....a San Francisco man who came from London and his wife were the WORST!

You, Larry, JR, Bruce, Kerry, Rodzinski, TCB, DAW (SingDaw back then) and Jose seem to be the only people drawn to this movie because you are the only ones who talk about it ;)

We all have good taste-- just like Charlie the Tuna!   Either that or we taste good!
