You know how you can look at something over a long period of time but when something's different, you don't know
what's different? Well, that's what happened to me. I had boxes in my garage and at some point (as long as maybe a couple of months ago), I thought things seemed different, but I didn't know how, so I didn't really think about it. My bad. Well, I went to look for a specific musical cast recording in one of the boxes in my garage...most my musicals are in alphabetical order in eight specifically marked boxes (I do have newer theater recordings in my house and at work). I was looking for
Groucho: A Life In Song, because Frank Ferrante is coming to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts
next Saturday. I'm ushering and I thought that I might be able to send the CD backstage to get his autograph. So, I looked in box #5 (the first one that I saw) but that started in the Ls, so I looked for box #4. I went around my pile of boxes and eventually found box #s 1, 7 and 8, but I couldn't find box #4...then I realized that I didn't see box #s 2 and 3, either! And then I realized that a couple of boxes with DVDs are missing! I looked all through my house and they're not there. I know that I didn't take them out of my garage or give them to anyone. I'VE BEEN ROBBED! But I don't know when it happened.

So...I need advice. What should I do now? Should I go to the police or call my insurance company first? I know that there's no way that I can get anything back. It really has been at least a couple of months. I do have personal property loss on my homeowner's insurance, but will I have figure out
everything that's missing? WHY DIDN'T I REALIZE WHAT HAPPENED SOONER??
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
