Things are looking rosy at Borders, too. . .Today I was told that for the next two weeks I will be in training to be an actual BOOKSELLER!

Congrats on the new job/duties!! ;D

I was going to buy myself a Kindle to take on the cruise, but instead I guess I will just pack a few used paperbacks.

I'm sure you'll find ways to relax other than reading books.

DR Jane - Well... The next time you're in Philadelphia, be sure to check out Capogiro Gelato, and/or the next time you're in NYC, I'll take you to GROM.

-Just for comparison's sake. ;)

Just for comparison. I have yet to have a gelato in the States that comes close to what we had in Italy/

My wife's laptop when south today, so we had to buy her a new one.  Now, if she can only retrieve all her stuff off of the old one....

I will be good and limit myself to only 3 a day.  I'm trying to keep the photos in the order we walk.

Thanks for the links, François.  I'll check these out when I get home tonight...which will be soon.  I'm leaving work now.

Hope to read Larry's report soon!

Until later!

I'd hoped to be able to stay up for more FR reviews, but will have to let the early raves do for tonight.  I've been really tired all day and can stay awake no longer.

'night!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

A Pot of Sunny Gold in Those Green Hills

".... All the comforting pleasures of the genre — infectious song, exuberant dancing, jokes both lovably corny and unexpectedly fresh, and of course the satisfying pairing of a him and a her — are on abundant display in this thoroughly winning production, a welcome picker-upper in an uneven Broadway season...."

After I finished writing up the Hitchcock set, I headed back down and watched UP on Blu-ray.

Movie is marvelous, a genius combination of humor and heart.

The Blu-ray is another spectacular HD disc from Pixar. I'll swear, there is so much detail in the images that you really forget you're watching an animated film. And the sound is terrific, too. Never too much, and the sound complements the timing of the jokes to perfection.

I have to say I'm glad Charles Isherwood reviewed and not Mr. Brantley.

I'm very happy for our dear friend!

I'll be spending a great deal of time watching all the bonus material tomorrow. Lucky for me Friday is my day off from my walk, so I can get an early start on the bonuses on disc one. The movie and bonuses are spread over two Blu-ray discs. There is also a DVD version of the movie and a digital copy, too.

Next I watched tonight's FLASHFORWARD. Interesting episode with small advances in story for several of the characters and lots more with Dominic Monaghan and his part in the events of the blackout along with a surprise participant.

I wound up my evening of viewing with a very dramatic GREY'S ANATOMY. ENjoyable as always. Loved Justin CHambers and can't believe he doesn't get more credit for his work on the show.

Those FINIAN'S RAINBOW clips are great...this would certainly be on my list of must see musicals if I should get to NY soon. What wonderful songs!

Congratulations to all involved and Larry in particular!

Is the Jim Norton who is playing Finian in this production the same Jim Norton who was in STRAW DOGS?

Yes. -And he's had quite a nice string of roles in NYC over the past few years.
