I love the RAINBOW sign on the St James marquee! Pictures of the arrivals include David Hasselhoff and Bryan Batt! But no photo of Miss Dahl! An oversight no doubt.

But weren't the "Follies" numbers in The Will Rogers Follies based on 'previous' follies numbers? I mean, I know I had seen a "hand dance" before TWRF.

True. and I shouldn't have put it that way. One of Tommy Tune's strengths as a choreographer is taking something you might have see hundreds of times before and making it seem new and exciting (and in this case, just plain fun, too!)

DR Dan (The Man) - You were fine. However...

I suppose this was directed at me? I'm sure you saw MY smiley face. And yes, the Will Rogers Follies was designed to pay homage to classic follies numbers - in the case of this one, it's a little more than homage, but first off, I understand this was Jeff Calhoun's number (correct me if I'm wrong), and second off he topped it with the hats and tambourines.

Then again, I used to give Tommy Tune huge credit for that choreography in Grand Hotel with the two ballroom dancers, which I thought was just brilliant. It was - but it wasn't Tune at all - it was those two dancers, and they were, in fact, given credit, albeit in the staff listings in the back of the program.

I don't particularly care about Hasselhoff but I would have loved to see my old friend Brian! I knew that Bwcky Newton and her husband were there; they're playing the romantic leads in GIRL CRAZY. I had heard that Becky wanted to meet the wonderful Judy Blazer last night and Rob Fisher was trying to arrange that.

Actually, I think this is the third - if not fourth - year for the Charmin Bathrooms in Times Square. I've never used them, but I have appreciated the free sample packs of Kleenex and the coupons they give out.

I got my greatest satisfaction in the announcement of last night's winner. And most especially gratifying was that hateful look in the pea-green-with-envy eyes of Irina. Yes, she tried to throw Althea under the bus with the presumption that she, Irina, had been copied by Althea. How upsetting, then, for Irina that Althea's "look" had been deemed BETTER than her own!

At home I had all kinds of weird INNER WEB goings on....hopefully it will be fixed when I get home. Who knows?

I am still intrigued and excited about the costumes for curtain call....is this how everyone is dressed for the finale.....or is this a whole new look? It is so BROADWAY and it flatters everyone!

Those costumes are for the wedding/final scene of the show. And the curtain call. And, yes, it is very BROADWAY and flattering.

That's funny! We wrapped the Johnny Mercer editing room last night and my assistant asked me if I wanted copies of anything. Not to abuse the privlege , the only thing I asked for was a copy of The King of Jazz.

Side note: King of Jazz featured The Rhythm Boys, with a very young Bing Crosby and Harry Barris, uncle of Chuck Barris.
