Oh, yes. They eat canned food now. A lot of it.

Can they all see?

I just hate it when people answer questions before they've been asked.         ;)

My "A" stands for Allan - my mother's father's first name.  Like Jose, different from my father's middle name, so I'm not a Jr.

Although I am the seventh generation in my family to have the same first and last name.  And, sadly, the last.

That is a bit sad, name wise anyway.  So far Keith's family does not have any boys born a generation after us to carry on the last name.

I remember reading an article in the local paper years ago (it was in an actual newspaper!) about this couple whose baby daughter was just born.  What made it newsworthy was that it was the first time in 135 years that a girl was born into the family!  During all those years, only boys were born.  Weird, huh??

;)

I remember that.

As far as Keith's family,  there haven't been any girls born either. :( I didn't mention that since we were discussing carrying on the family name.

Why don't you take Zack hiking in the woods like your mother did?

Because my mother lives in the wilds of northern NJ, where there are woods.     :)

Zach gets walked [by me] a minimum of 3 to 5 miles per day.  But we're in a suburban enviroment where it isn't safe to let him off the lead.  And also we prefer to keep him tick-free.  He does get to run free at the beach when we visit the Jersey shore.  We'll be there for Thanksgiving, in fact.

Those ticks are not fun.  I bet he loves the beach.  Sand can be messy but it doesn't carry potential diseases.

DR VIXMOM thank you doubly for the lovely envelope and its contents.  One of the items has been safely tucked away in the 2010 Season drawer....and the other is being read immediately!

We enjoyed the episode of GLEE we watched last night.  At the end I mentioned how nice the wife wasn't in it.  Now Keith is ranting how much he doesn't like her character & what an idiot that whole storyline makes him.  Now we are remembering how exciting the first baby kick was.  It is totally unbelievable he hasn't touched or seen her belly.  Now Keith has moved on to the fact no school would have hired her as a nurse. ;D

Not Jon, not Randy....  I use my full name for Actors Equity because Jack Earles and Jack Randall were both already taken.....sort of like how that one girl ended up being Mary Tyler Moore.

Since the story about Teri White is a feature, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to access it later via the News section on CBS.com.

Thanks for letting me know about this.  But, I've seen news segments on-line that were edited because of music content. :-\

Well, here's the print version of the story from CBS.com:

From a Park Bench to the Broadway Stage

And it's actually the lead story on the CBS Evening News page.

-Alas, no video.  Yet. ???

Oh, this is so moving and so up-lifting at the same time!

I guess this show is her "come-and-get-it" day!

Just read her story and it makes me smile and cry and ...

A regular customer from UK has just arrived (At 1:15 am) ; the Eurotrain has been delayed by 2 hours because a poor soul threw himself on the rails.

So many mixed emotions!

And now those cute kittens!  :-*

Hmmm, I think you are right about the jigsaw puzzle.  I took a few more photos today & the last one is my favorite.  I got excited when I snapped it.  Since I'm trying to share them in order it will be the last photo.

Okay but what did you do to make it work again?

Said abra cadabra?   I didn't do anything, it just worked better after turning it on and off a few times

I just did something that I haven't done since my twenties.  I  had potato chips and dip as my dinner.
