Bogie used to sleep most the night curled up in my arms.  Often he would take one arm and Bacall the other.

As I mentioned yesterday, ratings sweeps month began yesterday, so all shows are either showing new episodes or are being preempted for special programming.

This was the longest it's ever taken to address packages, but mostly due to two releases at once, which required extra work while addressing, and there were a lot of overseas and the stupid new post office rule that packages under an ounce now have to have a customs form is really irritating and takes at least an hour to deal with.

I got the source material for what was a potential release that MGM had no tapes on - well, the sound is terrific mono and we have the complete score thanks to the composer (now deceased) having the foresight to have his own tape made.  I will say this is another BK holy grail release from a film I really like from my favorite year in film history.  This will be the third or fourth soundtrack we've done from that year and if I could do them all, I would.

Then I went to Gelson's and got some cornbread stuffing and a little rice with peas, prosciutto and mushrooms, all yummilicious.  I also got two more bags of candy, just in case - this is the first time in this nabe that I'll have been here when Halloween falls on a Saturday - I think we could have more than our usual huge number of children.

I began my evening watching the first episode in NATIONAL PARKS which basically dealt with the establishment of Yosemite and Yellowstone Parks, particularly with the story of John Muir.

Fascinating aspects of the history of our country I knew NOTHING about at all. Well, I had heard John Muir's name, of course, but really didn't know anything about his life.

I thought I had a handle on the Holy Grail after seeing a film recently - but then I decided I was wrong, checking some of the facts at IMDB.

There is a making of documentary that's 20+ minutes long on the first disc, but since I wanted to get two shows watched tonight, I saved that for tomorrow morning.

Next I watched tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. A fairly interesting story, but I thought the culprit was pretty easy to spot. Melinda's child is doing absolutely NOTHING for me this season.

Then I watched tonight's MEDIUM. It was a tribute to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD with some really creepy stuff (a few giggles, too).

I loved how the screen would shrink to old Academy ratio during the black and white movie clip scenes and then go back to widescreen when Allison was awake. Again, I was a bit ahead of the revelation on this episode, but I still enjoyed it.

Sigh.  I wish I lived closer to you.  But then you might have trouble getting me to leave once a kitten settled in on me. ;)

Me, either.  It's like he's only there for plot development...not a good enough reason, if you ask me.
