I believe Johnny Depp had been in talks to play Witchiepoo when there was talk of a PUFNSTUF big screen version.

'Wish the police'

What Google Voice told me my father said:

Hi Amy. It’s, Jess dad just calling to see how things are going on. Wish the police. Happy Halloween or something. I’m just curious as to what they’re going to be working tonight. live in close calls. So alright when you get a chance give me a call.

What my father actually said:

Hi Amy. It’s just dad calling to see how things are going and wish the boys Happy Halloween hunting. I’m just curious as to what they’re going to be wearing tonight, other than clothes, of course. So, all right, when you get a chance, give me a call.

Our friends at the Library of Congress strike again! I am due for reimbursement of hotel and train tickets to and from DC for the Sept 1 reading of Life Begins At 8:40 and it is now two months later with no sign of a check. Since the same person and staff screwed up our invoices in July and August by not submitting them to Accounts Payable - and then gave me hell for bitching about nonpayment - I wonder if the same fuckup has occurred again?

There's a Bayreuth Blu-ray of Tristan und Isolde coming in January 2010.  That's my SCAAAARRRRY news o' the day.  :)

Actually, JR and BK, I'm going for the FF look of being carried by the policemen door to door.  It's much more leisurely that way.  :)

How many DRs of the male variety have ever done drag??

As much as I love to joke about it, I have actually not.

So far.

I never have, either.  Dressed plainly, I can camp it up loud enough to wake the dead.  But put on ladies things?  I wouldn't be caught dead...

BTW, when I say I wouldn't be caught dead wearing ladies things, it's because I don't have the nerve.

Or the legs.

Morning everyone.

The Culture Clash 25th Anniversary show at Royce Hall ended at 1:00AM.   I'm tired.   But, so glad I was there.

The mexicans next door have their music playing, and instead of the normal Mexican music, a Mexican version of "Popcorn" has started.  It's way to slow.

Plans tonight to scare the trick or treators at my Aunt's in San Mateo with a driveway display of something brilliant my sister has come up with we'll see.

Personally, I'm probably going to camp out on the couch with Otto (schnauzer 1) who is not feeling well, he had something in his paw that was infected and now he is on antibiotics.  He hasn't moved from his bed since Wednesday except for the occasional trip outside and to eat.  Poor Manny (the 6 month old schnauzer) wants to play and Otto does not.

Only had about twenty kids come by the house so far.  While it's stopped raining, the skies are still threatening and the winds have picked up.  It does look Halloweeny out there, though.

You've had trick-or-treaters already? What time do kids start trick-or-treating nowadays?

Well... I guess I started my own personal trick-or-treating: I just opened up a bag of Harvest Mix from Mondel Chocolates. -Homemade candy corn, pumpkins and other Halloween-y shapes.  The maple-flavored ones are particularly good.
