Only had about twenty kids come by the house so far.  While it's stopped raining, the skies are still threatening and the winds have picked up.  It does look Halloweeny out there, though.

You've had trick-or-treaters already? What time do kids start trick-or-treating nowadays?

Well, since it's not a school day, I would have expected the kids to start coming around after noon.

Hello to all.
I am having a lovely weekend here in Boston, with family.
The girls will soon be getting into their costumes, and heading out for some traditional Halloween fun.

Kevin Vortmann made quite a splash at the recent performances of Bernstein's Mass that DR JoseSPiano and I saw at Carnegie [and subsequently released as a sound recording on Naxos].  Kevin will also be in the cast of A Little Night Music.

Does your DP Twitter? There are a number of potential candidates on Twitter coordinating their trips and strategies for the auditions.

Ok. So. They have now said we must wear one of the shirts with our logo at the Harvest Festival tonight. I say it's too late to institute such a rule. A uniform was never mentioned; in fact, I asked if we could wear costumes, and the minister said he didn't care. I have my shrike costume all ready.

Good thing Ididn't volunteer to man a booth; I don't have a uniform.  Church uniforms-- what next?

I shan't wear a uniform. They can send me home if they want. It wasn't part of what I agreed to.

Could your DP make it to one of the of the Open Casting Calls in either L.A., Las Vegas or Portland?

DR Matthew - I'll see if I can track down some of those pastry chefs. In the meantime, you can also just do a search on Twitter for "Top Chef Desserts" and see who and what comes up.  -Most of the tweets are going to be about the casting notice that went out, but if you scroll and read carefully...

No.  Well, yes I suppose he could... but... whatever that's another story, never mind.  The application doesn't state that he has to submit his application in person.  And since they are not going to actually taste your dessert, the application and video can be sent in.  Personally, I think he should try to get to a casting call, but he doesn't see it as necessary.

IMHO - he should go to an open call.  I may still try and talk him into it, but he's not much for changing his mind.  And THAT's ANOTHER story.... you know the rest.

I've made my walk to 68th Street and my pharmacy, then to the Broadway Market at 77th, then the card shop for a thank you card. The weather is horrible, warm with a very high humidity. I'm glad to be back and indoors.

Hmm... The kids from "Glee" will be singing the National Anthem at tonight's World Series game.  I wonder just how "live" they'll be?  Hmmm...

Thanks.  I'll try and catch it.

DR Matthew - Tell your DP that he should both, the application and the open casting call. -And at the open casting call, the producers will have a better idea of just how well he'll do in a hectic, crazy, nerve-fill environment.

Yep, the weather today is just plan Un-Halloweenie!  We've have the doors to the backyard/patio open all day.  I mean, it's nice, but, c'mon, it's October 31!

Too bad they didn't give Hunter Ryan Herdlicka a chance to comb his hair and fix his tie after coming in from the very windy day before they took his photo.

Meet the cast of the forthcoming Broadway revival of A Little Night Music!!

Well, the Paris Châtelet February 2010 version will have .....

Well (again!) I know that some DR can't stand Mr L. Wilson, me I can't stand Miss Caron!

Oh well; to each his own.
