Well, I think I'm going to go for a walk around the 'hood. Get some fresh air. Stretch my legs. Grab a bite to eat. See if the Halloween candy is already marked down at Duane Reade. ;)

While I ate lunch, I watched SUPERNATURAL. A good episode (even though my favorite Castiel was not in this episode). There was a good looking male-witch as the main villain, however, so there were compensations.

Ah, well... It's now "official" rather than "provisional"...

Neil Simon Plays Will Close November 1

:(

*I feel really bad for the cast members of Lost in Yonkers, Josh Grisetti and Allan Miller, who had just started rehearsals, but won't get a chance to play the parts on the stage of The Nederlander.

That should be Broadway Bound not Lost in Yonkers, but I agreee. It's sad that this show can't make it some 26 years after it first played. I saw a recent performance and thought it was quite good. Noah Robbins made a very good Broadway debut.

Yep, I meant Broadway Bound, DR Ben.  Ah, well...

DR Jane would like Broadway Hound better! Woof!  :D

Yes, I opened the front door, and it felt like it was 75 outside. Not fall weather at all here.

Gosh. We're thrilled out here. It is perfect fall weather.

The Parade will begin in a couple of hours. We can hear it quite well, being a half block from the festivities. We can't see anything but we can hear it.

It almost didn't happen this year. The recession has affected all sorts of things including the committee who puts the parade together. There wasn't enough money for a full out parade so they were just going to do a scaled back version. When the news came out people begin sending in donations from $5 to $50 dollars and lo and behold the parade will be full size!

Then I watched Episode 2 of NATIONAL PARKS. This is dealing with the Everglades and Mt. Rainier parks.

BTW, these Blu-rays are in 1080i and they are not top notch video quality. The camerawork is all over the map with some of it looking very good but much of it being less than top notch HD images.

1080i doesn't have to look necessarily different from 1080p. COMPANY is in 1080i, and it's sharp as a tack. NATIONAL PARKS is not.

Our terra cotta jack-o-lantern is glowing in the window and Rob is in costume as Aragorn and we expect trick-or-treaters in about 15 minutes.  We only get the hearty ones who choose to trudge up our steep driveway.

We completely miss Halloween out here.  I wanted to go watch the children's parade since it isn't raining.  I can't find
Sherlock's Halloween bandanna and Keith is cleaning up oak leaves again.  I think I will walk to the mailbox instead.

I shan't wear a uniform. They can send me home if they want. It wasn't part of what I agreed to.

The cuckoo clock is now fixed and cuckoos beautifully. It was a simple fix according to Mr. Crafty Fix-It Anthony.

The trick-or-treater crowd is now in full swing around here.  It's kind of spitting rain.

I don't know what you are talking about.        ;)

Over on Facebook, Seth Rudetsky and friend have a video posted where they obsess about Glinda singing in The Wizard of Oz:

DR François - I have a recording of William Walton's "Façade" where Mssr. Wilson is one of the "reciters". I like his "reciting". ;)

There's a casting couch rumor involving Mssr Wilson and John McGlinn over an EMI recording on which Mssr Wilson only on occasion sings on pitch.

I did go to Amelia today. It was ok.  It really lacked any depth of character.  It just sort of told the story.  I enjoyed it, but would have liked it equally as well on my TV set at home.
